McConnell urged the Senate to accept the Nov 3 election results. Studies showed that, had an investigation of irregularities taken place, it is unlikely that Sen. Perdue of Georgia would have faced a run off. Thus the Senate would not have faced the risk of being lost to the Dem communists and McConnell would have remained as Senate leader.
