Actually I’ve been hearing people talk about the Senate President Pro Tempore as a substitution for Pence for a few weeks as a possibility.
This is unconstitutional on it’s face. It works when the Senate is debating because Article 1 Section 3 states the Pro Tempore can act in the place of the President of Senate/VP in his absence.
But this article is specific to the convening of the Senate and does not apply to the special session which is defined by Article 2 Section I and the 12 Amendment.In these it is very clearly the President of the Senate - and there is no allowance in Article 2 or the 12th for the Senate President Pro Tempore to act in this regard in the Electoral count session as there is in Senate only sessions.

My congressman Jody Arrington, Texas joined objectors today. I called and only got to leave voice mail in Lubbock office. All different offices were either full mail boxes or voice mail. Finally got a person in San Antonio Cruz office.
This is stressful. GA voting doesn’t seem to be busy. I am torn. Neither of them are real deal, in my opinion, and McConnell doesn’t inspire keeping him in power. Loeffler really is unimpressive. I still think Kemp made a deal with her to get appointed. If all votes are reviewed I wonder if Collins actually did beat her? Things I hope to know but am not holding my breath.

I’m confused as to which movie we are on now. It has been days and days since I’ve gotten any emergency broadcast tests. Went a few days with no robo warranty calls, do you have pain calls, and now this morning I had two lung doctor calls and four warranty calls. And have some odd neighbor wanting to sell me solar panels and brought a print out of those fbi triangle pizzagate stories wanting to tell me about it.
