Also, direct payments for the struggling is about all in this bill that is probably actually justified.
They should have done $1200 for adults with lower income...and forget the $600 for child dependents.
Our income, SS and dividends, is only in the median range for two retired people so we generally pay no taxes. A rebate wouldn’t work.
Previous versions of this bill were much worse and included ZERO cash for Main Street. Rand will never be elected POTUS if he foolishly chooses to die on doctrinaire hills like this.
Instead, Rand needs to focus on our corrupt institutions that produce this garbage. His fellow Senate club members in particular. Unfortunately, Rand has a side with China Mitch never to criticize him due to both being from the same state. Yet time and again Rand refuses to drop the truth bombs regarding the beltway sewer that the American people need.
Billions for the “showtime” industry?? Is Broadway really that necessary?
My solution is that for every mandated day people are forced out of work and businesses shut down, the banks too are shut down. This means no payments are due, no interest is charged and no late fees applied - no nothing. It's as if the time that lapsed never happened. When our fearful leaders wake up and open things back up and people go back to work, banks can restart collecting on loans and mortgages. Until then, they're S-O-L like the rest of us.
You see, that is where were we fail, when the left goes out there as says “hey we should have $15.00 minimum wage” our side should counter and say $100 minimum wage would even be better

And people realize raising the minimum wage just means less of those jobs would be available.

“Less worse” isn’t going to cut it...strip out the state aid that allows lockdowns to continue w/o consequence, drop the foreign aid ($700 million to Sudan, etc.), cut out the tax break for thoroughbred horse owners, etc., etc.. Then you have “more $” (printed $) for “direct payments” to citizens.

I agree. I can’t comprehend the government shutting businesses down, not allowing people to work and then leaving them high and dry. $600 is a joke to those who can’t work because assholes like Newsom won’t let them. Their money ran out in August.

Give me the .009 of the 2.109 (Which ‘we’ have been conditioned to say gas is two ten when in fact we shoud be saying two eleven).
Also when ‘they’ point out that unemployment is ‘all the way up to 8%’ I like to point out that 92% ARE working.
Funny for the last 4 years the Ds have been screaming PDJT stole the election and we ‘basically’ proved or at least were yelling it can’t happen.

For the last couple of months WE have been saying they stole the election and they are saying that the idea of stealing an election is preposterous.
