SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) — Protesters gathered for a loud and noisy demonstration outside San Francisco mayor London Breed’s home on Sunday.
Demonstrators want the mayor to reopen outdoor dining. They chanted “Open SF now!” “The people need to eat!” and other slogans. Protesters said they’re fighting for the little guys like the cooks who can’t work from home and the low-wage servers who can’t pay their rents.
“The money is not enough. The money is not enough for a family of four — especially in San Francisco — when the rent is too high,” said Adrian Cruz, a restaurant server who has been on unemployment since March. He and many workers worried they’ll be homeless once unemployment runs out.
“Please London Breed, Gov. Newsom, we beg you to open the business,” Cruz pleaded.

Learn from the expert protestors. If you want the protest to be successful and receive no punishment for it, burn what you are protesting. Down to the ground.

Ummmm....I think they were ‘normal’ working people saying they need to WORK so they can feed their families. Odd, so many here took it a different way. I DON’T BLAME THEM. I swear they have the right to surround the Mayors house. She doesn’t care if they can’t work and feed their kids, pay the rent. THIS CRAP IS PISSING ME OFF and I think it’s going to get violent, FROM OUR SIDE THIS TIME.
They do. But don’t know how to use them. There was an article a year or so ago talking about the nuveau riche buying big homes with well-pointed kitchens. But they never bothered to learn how to cook so they either ate out or heated stuff up in the microwave.

Interesting, the shot of the disabled cable car. Cable cars have not been running here since March. I find myself wondering if they will ever run again.

Was there this morning and was getting pissed about having never noticed the damned street lights are not metered.
They are timed and I just sat there with no other care passing and wondering to my self:
“Uhm Self. I don’t even see any cops. What would happen if I just rant the light?”
For sure a cop I didn’t see would nail me
Anyway, drove around for a bit and thought “When was the last time a cable car ran down California Street?”
Then went to Union Square and drove around aghast. Essentially no cars no people and this 10 days from Christmas.
How is that possible at Christmas there is almost no one on the streets and at the stores?
