I don't know if it's the nanny state ... but millions of Americans have become afraid of everything: playground equipment, the bogey man, driving without seat belts, letting children move around their own neighborhoods or walk to school without Mommy etc. It's disgusting.
So we as a nation were vulnerable to FEAR. It reminds me of past years when a shark attack is reported somewhere in North Carolina for example ... causing waves of fear across the whole Atlantic coast, if not the Pacific as well!
We were made sitting ducks by our own psychological weakness.

I think your concern about taking action is a good one, and this thread is full of people who each fight, in their individual ways, to actively help our President. Some research, some create memes, some phone call, some demonstrate and protest, some write letters, some document and archive, some tweet or gab or parlay, and some donate. We all do something.
However, Kalam is a good, longtime FReeQ and doesn’t deserve to be investigated or outed. That’s just not cool. We like unity, not division.
It is not surprising that you’ve ruffled feathers since you are new to the thread and feel the need to pass judgment on us. Some of our best posters are people like you, who had questions, and took the time to read Q’s drops and our posts for a while, before forming an opinion of us. We have developed our own culture on this thread over time which can confuse newbies... some of the brightest mind in FR are on these threads and there is much to learn...and the Boss has stated we are to be left alone.
So, watch and learn and think for yourself. You may find you want to be a FReeQ. Or you might enjoy the Trump Train threads...

I support all that you wrote, Melian. I will add though that she's posted on the Q thread for on and off for some time, and although she has persistant doubts to which she is fully entitled, some of her negative marks are unproductive and dirsuptive when posted to the Q thread to chide participants, including personal attacks on individuals (e.g., insinuating she knows they have inappropriate attitudes toward power, donations etc.)
But all can learn, so there's that.
That is surprising, I was under the impression the q stuff was an attempt to keep people docile. To keep people from taking more action.
