LONDON — Scotland has become the first country in the world to make period products freely available to all who need them, after final approval was given to a landmark piece of legislation in Parliament on Tuesday.
The measures are intended to end “period poverty” — or the circumstances, and in some cases, prohibitive expense that have left many without access to sanitary products when they need them.

How have I not heard this already? Is it for the bore cleaning solution or for the excess oil as well?
Shouldn’t clean-shaven men get free shaving supplies to deal with the hair that sprouts from their faces?
How utterly silly.

I remember at 12 years old riding my bicycle to Lucky’s supermarket to buy Kotex for my mother.

Scotland is not a country. It’s part of the United Kingdom albeit they have their own parliament.

They aren’t free. A government can’t give something away unless they first took it from someone else.

Normal females around 15-40 keep plenty of those ‘products’ on hand...
Its been a few years but I dont think I ever ran out and never lacked the so called ‘access’...
I carried them with me when the first day was nigh...
and had them stashed in my car and at the office...
I think Beer and Whiskey should be free. END THIRST POVERTY NOW!!

I knew a guy who used them as an oil filter on his commercial fishing boat, a converted landing craft.
Period Poverty flyers are all over US campuses. They manage to have an anti-American tilt because they cite puritanical resistance to even discussing the subject. Yet when the Soviet Union put the first woman in space and 20 years later when they had the first woman space walk, Soviet women on the ground had no feminine hygiene products. They made their own and washed and reused them.

Oh my gosh yes! Commercials for Sanitary Products are now showing “bloody” messes! Couldn’t believe they’ve gone that far but they have!
