I seem to recall a full recount at the request of the Green Party in 2016. It immediately found all sorts of issues and got shut down fast.
This might be a particularly good trap set by the GOP. If the GOP wants to continue seeing Detroit cheatery then fine, but if not, get that city under a full audit.
I’m assuming you can’t just let the partisans do the auditing, and might bring in some more serious officials as part of the process and see far less bullying? Also, how about the DOJ show up and “help out”?
