I totally agree. I do not like having to go back to Facebook for Ones not available on Parler- yet.
No; I think it asked a straightforward question, and seemed to be seeking responses.
I have nothing against ‘Parler’. But there is no guarantee about ANY online ‘outfit’.
I trust Mr. Robinson, because I’ve followed him since the Usenet days. But online things - and the ways in which they can be manipulated - have changed a lot since then.
I beg your pardon. FreeRepublic is my initial source for the pulse of the news flow. What do you use it for? Socializing?

Devin Nunez posted just a few minutes ago that Parler crashed today because of 2.5 million new members he posted “you guys are crazy” I couldn’t get onto Parler for a few hours and didn’t know what was going on BUT now I am THRILLED people are leaving twitter!!!
Zuck and Co. may be trying to censor us, but we are out and loud on facebook!
I have an account at Parler too.
Every conservative should have an account there.
If memory serves, FB was set up so that freepers could gather in the event that this site went down.
It’s a competitor. But if this site expands to social media it may bring in more people to donate.

As for me, I refuse to succumb to their data mining and be counted as one of their customers.
I use it as a convenient and interesting clearing-house for news, and for intelligent commentary on the news by fellow citizens who aren’t controlled by corporations. (The latter is what interests me most.)
But I wouldn’t be ‘lost’ without it.

I understand. After way more than 70 years you would think I would learn the lesson you have, but..... apparently there is no hope for me.
I love this country and I love most of her people. They are brave and funny and proud. I was raised on fairytales so I naturally believe the good guy wins in the end. I just have never been able to figure out when it’s the end.
I know FB isn't popular with everyone here, but it does reach a large audience.
I don’t use Facebook, but I’ve seen the FB Free Republic site a couple of times over the years when FR was down for a while.
But we’ve seen in recent months that Facebook censors stuff, too. What would stop any other, new site from being censored or interfered with?
If you want something completely independent of control, you’re going to have to come up with a brand new technology.

I’m set on Parler, MeWe and Rumble as of today. I reprogrammed the shortcut button on my remote from FOX to Newsmax.
