Think of counterfeiting money- watermarking would be laughable as a sole deterrent these days.
Sure, it was an improvement in vote security- but no magic wand.
All I expect is that an excess amount of watermarked paper procured ( Or a “secret” order of the paper) may indicate bad intent by a state.
Nation-state actors, like China, could produce all of it they want.

With vote fraud, as with all criminal organizations, the problem is finding witnesses/informers inside the operation.
All criminal organizations insure their people are blackmailable, or otherwise subject to their control.
Watermarking provides more possibilities to find informers among the printing companies.

Each State or locality has their own ballots printed. So how can they be watermarked?
Watermarking would be in the paper, not in the printing. The question to ask would be where the paper came from.
The check on the address and the matching signature should have been done before the envelopes were separated from the ballots. Cheaters don’t care which way they cheat just so long as they win.

It occurred to me there are security cameras everywhere these days. You can’t even go to the bathroom without possibly being filmed. These schools, government buildings, etc. surely has cameras everywhere. And DHS has the ability to record everything everywhere.

If this doesn’t get straightened out for 2024, then when I retire in 2025, I’ll probably move overseas. If I have to live in a banana republic, I’m going to CHOOSE it!
