I joined during the 2000 election endless recount circus. And it looks like we’re in for another chaotic mess of an election this year.
Let’s see how many 20+ FR veterans I can get to respond!
July 31, 1998 here, so 22 plus years.
I joined at about the same time as you, November 1, 2000. I saw some article elsewhere that referenced FR, and immediately fell in love with the site. I love knowing that I’m not alone, that I will get news here that appears in few other places, and that the very existence of this site absolutely enrages the Collectivists.

I’ve been on FR since 1975 but through a series of lost passwords and crashed computers, yada, yada, yada...
20+ but most of that time I was lurking! I got approved to post quite recently. I’d tried once before, but it was during the days of severe server problems. I found FR on facistbook and did my commenting there. However, I have now been tried, convicted, and executed in the facistbook kangaroo court and have been banned. Did not go to jail, did not pass go, did not collect $200. Apparently I told the truth 1 time too many! Add to that I am a Conservative Christian woman who has been very successful in a male-dominated field (now retired). Yep, I’m truly who facistbook wants to avoid!
Mine’s in December. Joined during the “Sore/Loserman” era.

That brings back memories!
I just missed the 'deep in the Hurtgren forest' period. It came up a lot but wasn't really explained. Seems to me there's a repository of Freeper mythology and humor somewhere . . . it must also contain the stuned beebers and the moose-bitten sister.
Have been here since the Clinton Administration. Watched the first Bush/Gore debate with Freeper commentary running along side it..
