The purpose of the high poll number is to get more donations to Biden. This week it will change. Trump numbers are going up. The rich liberal will put money on the winning team.
I have seen during the 2008 election, pollsters were showing high for Hillary and then for Obama. The pollsters were openly discussing this and changing polling data from likely voters to registered voters.
The purpose of early polling data is campaign funding only.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey of Likely Voters in Wisconsin shows Biden with 51% support to Trump’s 43%. Three percent (3%) like some other candidate, and two percent (2%) remain undecided.(To see survey question wording, click here.)
Among the 84% of Wisconsin voters who are already certain how they will vote, Biden leads 54% to 46%.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden holds a four-point lead over President Trump in Ohio, a state that historically has been a must-win for Republicans.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey of Likely Voters in the Buckeye State finds Biden leading the president 49% to 45%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, while another three percent (3%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Those WI & OH numbers are disappointing & strange since Trump’s numbers nationally are some of the highest he has had.
I thought OH was had pretty much been a lock for Trump for a while now.
Biden probably doesn’t know what he said yesterday. He just reads what his handlers give him to say.

I woke up super early this AM with a stomach ache. Finally got well enough to go back to sleep. Woke up and thought it was tomorrow and I had slept through my doctor appointment. I called them to explain what happened, felt like a fool after being told the appointment was tomorrow.
Creek Fire in California

The Creek Fire in the Central Sierras has again almost doubled overnight. As of this morning, it is 134,000 acres and that was a number from several hours ago.
The 80-90% tree mortality is a major contributor to the feeding of this monster.
The fire started at Big Creek which is a So Cal Edison town that supplies hydropower to So California for SCE corporation.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
It decimated Big Creek, has taken out half the town of Shaver Lake and is moving south to Auberry and east to North Fork, Bass Lake, and Oakhurst....

At least you didn’t do as I once did. I called the new-to-me doctor’s office to inquire directions for my appointment the next day. I was dryly informed the appointment had been scheduled for the previous day.
I'll put my Grumpy Old Fart firmly on my head and wonder out loud if those "polls" were commissioned to report on public opinion or just put a big ol' thumb on the scales.
(Just a hint: They're trying to drive Trump's numbers down...AGAIN.)
The elephant was hoping it was a MAGA hat. When it wasn’t, the elephant gave the hat back.
I would generally say that too, but the Rass did these polls, as he is dong the Daily Pres Poll that has had Trump at or over 50% for the last several days. And I believe he is supposedly the internal polling guy for Trump.
So either i take the bad Rass polls with the good Rass polls, or don't take any of them. Maybe he has a different a polling method for states than what he does for the Daily Pres Poll?
