Okay I see we could go on for a while on this.

Maybe we should have left Texas independent too? ;)

A more compatible culture wouldn’t you say? We have nations for a reason.

Yes, Maze is dumb but I live here and the population has about the same IQ as Maze. Nice people but totally dumb herd mentality.

No, with masks there’s verifiable evidence demonstrating exactly how it works and what right is vs wrong. This isn’t about social experiments; it’s about reducing the volume and range of respiratory droplets from infected individuals to reduce the spread until a safe and effective vaccine can be delivered by President Trump.

It’s right here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7301882/ Fig 6-9: direct observable evidence of reduced respiratory droplet volume and range.

This need not be anything to do with politics. It’s about taking some simple steps to slow the spread of a disease that’s killing Americans until we can stop it completely. And the Americans it’s killing, by the way? Overwhelmingly vote Republican.

Probably not. I love Maui but the average person here does not appreciate the United States and wishes they could secede. Yes, they are that dumb.

Well at least with the Mexicans they would be more compatible if they had been part of the U.S. for the last 170 years or so instead of just waltzing in illegally for the last 40 years anyway. I’d take a bunch of church going Mexicans over east coast liberals any day.

They are terrified of tourists, even though tourists account for a majority of their incomes. My SIL hasn’t worked since March; he’s in the tourist industry.

They are milking this virus to the max to justify what they want ... isolation.

Both the number of cases and number of deaths are grossly inflated making the area under the curve ridiculously exaggerated. We know the government and media lie to us every day yet believe the covid numbers as truth this time.

Cases and deaths are being provided at such a granular level that it would require tens of thousands of people at hospitals, health departments, county governments, state governments, and the Federal government to grossly inflate the numbers.

Do you believe there’s a vast conspiracy of tens of thousands of people across the nation in both red and blue counties all plotting with each other to inflate the numbers?

I don’t believe the numbers are perfect. They’re a best estimate. It’ll take a year or two to finalize them and even then they won’t be perfect. But they’re close enough and the trends that emerge within those numbers provide us with insight on what’s happening, where hotspots are happening, where supplies (such as PPE) need to shift, etc. The numbers can have value even without being perfect. And we know there are a lot of excess deaths because hospitals in different parts of the country have been forced to throw bodies in freezer trucks as their morgues start overflowing with the dead.
