I believe it...be thankful that they didn’t become the Arizona Coyotes. :~)
NBCSN is carrying the game.

You can file this under "unconfirmed but from a reputable source hearsay." In the late 1980s I was working near Philadelphia. A colleague told me about a customer call he made to a junk yard (it's a long story). The junk yard owner motioned to my colleague to come look at a wreck. The owner said it was Lindbergh's Porsche...
The owner showed my collegue the ignition, and said it was in the off position. The word on the street was that Pelle's girlfriend got scared with his drunk driving, and turned off the ignition. She thought that would only turn off the engine but didn't know it would also cause the steering wheel to lock up. If true, then the skid marks weren't simply a reflection of a drunk Pelle losing control (though the 0.24 BAL didn't help) but because he couldn't steer away from the wall.
Just now, as I was searching for a picture of Pelle's Porsche, I found this story that is almost, word-for-word, what my colleague said almost 30 years ago.
Wow! Pelle was going to be a great goalie. A terrible loss for hockey.
The Tortorella Bowl.
May the best team win.
Tampa Bay has 25 more shots on goal than Columbus and has been pretty relentless...if TB loses this one, I predict they'll deflate and lose the series.
I vowed to not watch hockey but my brother said to me you’ve been watching for over 50 years. You are 80 years old enjoy yourself. So I turned on the Lightning Bull Jacket game at the start of overtime and am glad I did. Hockey is in my blood and I think that I will keep watching. It was great.
The Yankees were and always will be the three rings of Ballantine Beer. Purity/Body/Flavor. And I don’t even drink beer.
It was an old fashioned test of wills.
There’s nothing quite like playoff overtime hockey!
As far as watching or not - if people stopped supporting all the liberal businesses and sports, nobody would be on FreeRepublic because all the internet providers have supported the liberals.
Hockey is doing much much less than the other sports. And its likely in part because they’re afraid for their families safety while they’re locked in the bubble.
Columbus will be better able to come back from this loss.
Tampa would not have been able to come back from a loss.
Not after being swept last year.
Geez. 5 OTs! Record shots stopped, shots taken. They should almost give 2 wins to the lightning and one to the CBJ.
I have the lightning folding again in round 1, but now I am concerned.
Pentuple OT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn, sorry I missed it.
As you correctly noted, “they’re afraid” ... that’s for sure! (Sure builds optimism and confidence in a society, doesn’t it?)
It was historic!
Columbus can come back from a loss like that. They have Torts for a coach.
Tampa Bay wouldn’t have been able to recover from a loss. Not after being swept last year.
Hart is a good goalie. Maybe great. Time will tell.
After decades of Philly doing a “rent-a-goalie” approach they might have a bona-fide star.
