Nishi Uggalle, the latest crowned champion of Channel 4’s Child Genius show, is believed to possess an IQ “higher than Einstein’s”. Impressive as it sounds for a 12-year-old winning a junior Mastermind programme, but does the comparison with the infamous physicist actually mean anything? And how seriously should we consider IQ (intelligence quotient) as a benchmark of a person’s intellectual capacity?
The most notable issue is that nobody knows what Albert Einstein’s IQ was because he never took the test. It is presumed he would have an IQ score of over 160.

My Doctor is a member of Mensa and one of my best friends is president for a large area. He said they only made him president because no one else wanted to do it.
The first time I met my Dr. I was in his examination room, reading a Gideon Bible. When he walked in and introduced himself, he asked what verse I was reading. I told him and he quoted it.
It is a well known verse but still I was really surprised.
Yes, I was also invited to MENSA but didn’t get involved.
And that’s funny, that people would say that they’re in MENSA. How snobby. I like people of all sorts and would never say anything like that to someone else.

My IQ sits between 168 and 174 depending on what convenience store im leaving.
I was first tested at age 12 and subsequently introduced to mensa.
As part of my membership kit they sent me a license plate frame.
I still have that frame 32 years later.

Since Einstein is dead and never took any IQ tests, it is a worthless statement.
The big question is, is the license plate on your current automobile?

He is really likeable. He discovered a melanoma on the back of my neck and removed it. Fortunately it was in the early stage and 10 year survival rate is very high.

From what I've seen, a high IQ actively works against most of those. Particularly the "common sense" part.
Further, when you live your life not just "feeling", but KNOWING, that most people are not as smart as you... It colors your perception in every human interaction. This is where the social isolation aspect comes in.
IQ is a simple measurement gauge, like an auto oil dip stick. It indicates only how much is present, not how much is being used or how it is being used.
Einstein was also a dedicated socialist. Intelligence doesn't always translate to wisdom.
Mensa can stick it.
People with high intelligence have a gift.

I joined Mensa to put it on my resume for IT positions because I don’t have a college degree. High intelligence can be fun if you don’t take it too seriously. In line with what others have pointed out, I have discovered that intelligence is more frivolous than beauty if you don’t use it well. At least with beauty, everyone who sees them has their day brightened a little (unless, of course, they are plagued by envy) ;)

OK, I’ve been wondering the last few days what was Jesus’s IQ.
Joined Mensa in 1982 on a bet. Went to one meeting ... not my cup of tea. Mensa wanted a $25 membership dues every year. Why ? I already won my bet ... why would I continue to pay dues to a club that I don’t participate in ... I’m smarter than that
