Deep in the Amazon rainforest, there are mysterious canines with short ears, pointy noses, and bushy tails that roam the undergrowth. The creatures, which are one of the least studied variety of dogs on the planet, are rarely seen even by scientists who have spent years studying the region.

My dog, a “Shepweiler” or “Rotten Shepherd” likes orange slices...as a treat, not as part of her regular diet.

My beloved Irish Setter Clancy, now gone, was not fond of veggies. We once gave him some leftovers that contained peas. Later we noticed everything was gone except the peas which were delicately piled up in his dish. We’ve often wondered just how he managed that since he usually wolfed down his food. I guess his tongue had veggie radar.

The dog got fat because the avocado is the replacement for animal fat. You use avocados when you want to add fat to your diet but not animal fat.Not saying it is wrong or right, it is what it is.

When I was young, we had a collie that would do the same thing. Mom always let him lick out the Dutch oven she cooked beef stew in and she’d leave a few peas in the sauce. When he was finished, every pea was still there, without fail.

Funny to find out Tavish wasn’t the only one with that skill. LOL

It took a little “looking about” on the “Worldwideweird” but I found that the scientific name of the “Ghost Dog” is: Atelocynus microtis.
The “common name” is: Short-eared dog.

INTERESTING wild dog species.- The information that I found states that there are no more than 15,000 individuals living at this time, which makes it one of the rarest of the world’s wild canine species.

I once had an English Pointer that ended up being named MIKEY, as he was the most “unfinicky” eater that I ever met.= NOTHING seemed to NOT be on his possible menu.

Mikey even liked fresh fruit, for example green grapes & (when my late wife’s GF came over for “afternoon tea”,) he was quite pleased to eat dainty cucumber finger sandwiches with “the girls” OR to enjoy pizza & beer with my friends..

Read the responses from the Greenies about domestication of wild animals. ABSURD.
Some species can be domesticated with time and patience, some not. But i am sure not every animal that CAN be domesticated HAS been domesticated.

Check out Aurochs. WE domesticated THAT to be cattle and oxen.
