This season's WNBA players hope that before you chant their names, you'll remember the victims of police and racial violence too.
WNBA stars Layshia Clarendon, Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson will be wearing special uniforms designed to honor women who the league says "have been the forgotten victims of police brutality and racial violence" when the league's 2020 season tips off later this month.

Most womens’ sports are played by ugly lezzies that straight men and women (98% of the population) will not watch.
The good news for them is soon,thanks to SCOTUS, they will all be played by men who say they are women, so it might end up as some sort of minor league.
As for born females pro sports are gone forever.

You’re kidding right? The audience for WNBA games is watching for the social justice. That’s why they watch it, it’s the exclusive sport of LGBTQ, particularly the angry butch lesbians. This won’t necessarily help their pathetic viewership ratings, but is certainly won’t hurt.
I think its a feminine name. Perhaps its related to Aisha, the name of Mad Mo's youngest and most favorite wife, who he married at a very tender age.

My sister does substitute teaching in a large metro school system. She had one girl student named Shithead (but pronounced Shay - teed). I'm not kidding.
Hopefully. Won't affect the WNBA so much as their ratings are minuscule to begin with. But what will Roger Goodell when ratings fall ten per cent? Or even (hopefully) twenty per cent?!
My wife is a first grade teacher in a well-to-do school district. She had one of those a couple of years ago, but it was a boy.
