I am a Popeyes guy myself, but the best you can find is from Mrs Wilkes’ Boarding House on Jones St in Savannah. You will not find better.
If you visit Savannah, it’s worth waiting in line for, which you will have to do to get it
There is one in Vero Beach, and is/wasone out in the middle of nowhere in Columbia Co Georiga. A little town called Pollard’s Corner.
Yep...it’s still there.
Royal Farms chicken is awesome!
Daughter and her family live in MD: we always stop at RF for the chicken on the way home.
I remember Knotts Berry Farm in the late 60s. That was probably my last visit there. Im guessing 67 or 68. I dont remember if we had fried chicken or not. Thats a long time ago, and my father ordered food for the whole family. [We always ate what was set in front of us, no arguing or complaining allowed (at least, not if you had any brains in your head!).]
If you are ever near Indianapolis, Indiana, please look us up. Im happy to treat you to Aunt Bees Fried Chicken at our local restaurant, Mayberry Cafe. I am not kidding you, its the BEST fried chicken anywhere in the USA. I know thats a bold statement, but I have yet to hear anyone, including many family skeptics, deny the truth of my assertion after partaking the fried chicken there.
Both are very good.
Just remember to go to the Castle Shop Bakery for some butterhorns. Get two packs because you will eat the one on the drive home and you will want them for breakfast the next day. Come to think of it get three....
Makes me hungry.
