She is getting the benefit of the most modern technology. When dad at age 89 had similar work we would stop into local hospital ER before the transfer to IU med Indy. One day a well known surgeon came in to see us. He and the inventor of the new technology had been classmates in med school. (One had actually ended up marrying the girl they both had dated).
To make a long story short they had been talking on the phone about the new procedure and the local surgeon wanted to talk to dad about it. He told us his friend in Indy and always said he wanted to “put surgeons out of business”. With tears in his eyes he told daddy. “Isn’t it wonderful! At your age you’ve been part of making history. In five years all gastrointestinal surgery will be done with lasers and fiber optic. There will be no more cutting and sewing. Surgery as it’s known will become a thing of the past.”
Welcome to the 21st century. RBG and my dad both elderly are getting medical treatment that will be common soon. In big hospitals now. Soon to be training all surgeons in all locations.
Pretty funny, eh? I certainly hope the biggies are true. Like Soros going to jail. Obama admitting being born in Kenya. Hillary going to jail. I am not going to count on it being legitimate. I don’t want to get burned again.
