Allow me to pontificate
@jeffsessions may not win this election against Tommy Tubby
This may have been the plan all along
It is possible that Sessions ran in this race for one reason: to allow @potus to criticize him and portray separation between @potus and Sessions to provide cover for Sessions next role.
Undoubtedly Sessions will be a major witness in the future Senate hearings involving the Deep State coup as well as any type of impeachment trial involving one Barrack Hussein Obama.
If Sessions is a Senator and a witness as to his role as AG in the initial stages of the Deep State coup against the new Trump presidency, he would have to abstain from acting in his Senatorial capacity as a trier of fact during any impeachment hearings or other hearings involving actions he took while he was AG
His most important role is yet to come: witness as to actions he took as AG while Hussein and Dems were engaging in coup against @realDonaldTrump . Lets see how it plays it out
Super Majority 2020
As much as I would LOVE Sessions as a Senator, I agree that may not be in the cards. His future role is so much more important than my immediate gratification.
Light&Truth
I understand but what do we do with Tubby? I dont trust him.
M. Foust
I'm here in Bama too. We'll just have to hope he goes along with anything Trump says. That is if he can beat Doug.
Light&Truth
We will have to hold our noses and gag while we vote...
M. Foust
It's really looking that way. 62% Tubby as of now
PurposeProphet
Peace is the Prize, not a senate seat. God bless Sessions and all those playing to that end.
Joanne Best
Whatever happens is meant to be. Sessions activated may mean a different position we aren't yet aware of. I trust the plan and I trust Trump.
Perky Patriot
Agreed. I totally trust Trump and the plan.
Light&Truth
I live here and I dont want or trust Tuberville. Hes not from here and not MAGA. Moved here from FL to run. Wants visas for foreign workers and wouldnt debate Sessions.
Bama Mimi
I live here too and I prayed before voting for Sessions that Gods will be done. If Tuberville wins I will pray for him bc thats what Im supposed to do.
Light&Truth
I agree. I prayed the same. Tomorrow Ill dust off and move on, but tonight Im both sad and angry. (Not at God of course.)
Teletext
Actually had this thought that maybe this is part of it - needs to publicly lose (race tnite)/take one for team before he can be vindicated later?
RunningTheRace
Sometimes you need to 'take one for the team publicly' before you are vindicated as a hero.
StableBlondeGenius
I dont know if this is a worthy contribution, but I graduated from AU when Tuberville was coach. Nicest man on the planet, and I met him personally. His reputation in the community was ironclad. Our corrupt university AD got rid of him. Maybe hes working w Trump??
Brainfood
Everyone's 2 cents here is worthy.

I agree with StableBlondeGenius, although I have never met Tuberville personally. He had a good witness in the local Church of Christ, I think. He would be our coach still if ... well, I really don’t know the actual circumstances. No one was upset with him personally. To me, it appeared that some personal problems were distracting him and he lost steam, that he couldn’t concentrate on the game. Time has passed. I hope that circumstance which I am projecting has been mitigated. I also hope he becomes less squishy a conservative.

Thanks for your comment. Its really good to have all sides discuss. By not agreeing it really makes the other side stop and think about their opinion. Its a healthy thread here.
Road Runner makes me question more. Thanks RR.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll sponsored by Likelihood of Confusion blog for Wednesday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trumps job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.
To: Lakeside Granny
I trust this ex-coach more than any politician on both sides of the aisle. When Donald came on the scene ...he's not going to be conservative enough..but Cruz will...we can't trust him...what does he know about government...will he make quick brash judgments....he will tear down our country with his tariffs....he won't fight for the unborn child...AND look today at our amazing President. I truly feel NO POLITICIAN on the planet of Earth would stick to what they believe as our President has. NO POLITICIAN.

That means, the grass-roots in the Trump movement is VERY activated.

Very true. President Trump has delivered way beyond my expectations when he was elected. I did believe his experience as a businessman was a better qualification than a career politician.

At least seven ships caught fire today in the Iranian port city of Bushehr. No reason has been cited for the incident, and no casualties have been reported. This comes after a string of explosions around Iran over the past couple weeks.
A screen grab taken from a from Iranian State TV Irib shows firefighters combatting a blaze at the Delvar Kashti Bushehr boat factory in the Iranian city of Bushehr.
At least seven ships were on fire in the Iranian port city of Bushehr, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday, without giving a reason for the incident.
A fire broke out at a shipyard Wednesday afternoon and operations are underway to bring it under control, the state-run Irna news agency cited Jahangir Dehghani, the head of the crisis management organisation for Bushehr province, as saying. Plumes of dense black smoke billowed into the air, in a photograph of the incident published by Irna. State broadcaster IRIB showed firefighters tackling clouds of smoke at a shipyard at the southern port on the Gulf.
Irna said the shipyard builds fibreglass hulls for boats.
There have been several explosions and fires around Iranian military, nuclear and industrial facilities since late June, including a fire at Iran's underground Natanz nuclear facility on July 2.
n an article in early July Irna addressed what it called the possibility of sabotage by enemies such as Israel and the United States, although it stopped short of accusing either directly.
Israel's defence minister said on July 5 his country was not "necessarily" behind every unexplained incident in Iran.
On June 30, 19 people were killed in an explosion at a medical clinic in the north of the capital Tehran, which an official said was caused by a gas leak.
On June 26, an explosion occurred east of Tehran near the Parchin military and weapons development base that the authorities said was caused by a leak in a gas storage facility in an area outside the base.
