Seen at Ace of Spades HQ:

Great speeches last night by Governor Kristi Noem, The Secretary of the Interior, and President Trump. Thanks to Trump's speechwriter Steven Miller, If you didn't hear the speeches last night you can hear them on C-Span. God bless America!. Lord have Mercy!

Fox made a right mess of it. Whenever you are trying to watch a speech like that, a convention, dedication, or some other presentation, you are almost always better off going with Cspan. You can go between the two channels and it will be striking. Half the time Fox will be at commercial and the other half some blow hard will say he is "monitoring" the event.

Yeah that was the surprising part. A private Christian college. The world has gone mad. Thank God for trumps speech last night. It gives me a little bit of hope.

I love when they say they will "drop in if there is anything important to report on", as if whet they are saying is more important than POTUS speaking.

Very true. They will say they will show us anything they deem we need to see or hear.

Thank heavens. Husband really wants to go by for a few minutes to the pool party. He said we’d keep our distance. It is up on the hill. His brother just got out of hospital and he wants to see him. Heart and kidney problems. I’ll be home later if you want to talk.

Listened to a friend while she tells of her son’s accidental death from a homemade gun a couple weeks ago. One of the most emotional calls of my life. I listened.

Take care. Hugs.

Minnesota Governor Pleads for Federal Aid as Sky-High Bill for Riot Damage Revealed

https://www.westernjournal.com/minnesota-governor-pleads-federal-aid-sky-high-bill-riot-damage-revealed/

TRANSLATION: Minnestota Democrats Want Taxpayers From Other States To Pay For The Riot Damage They Allowed And Supported

Minnesota is seeking millions of dollars from the federal government to clean up after the riots that erupted in
the aftermath of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody May 25.

On Thursday, Gov. Tim Walz announced he was seeking Federal Emergency Management Agency cash, noting that the
rioting left a trail of more than $500 million in destruction.

The release said that during the rioting and destruction that raged in Minneapolis and surrounding communities,
the state called on more than 10,000 law enforcement personnel to try to restore order and the Minnesota
National Guard was fully mobilized for the first time since World War II.

“Nearly 1,500 Twin Cities businesses were damaged by vandalism, fire, or looting,” the release said,
referring to Minneapolis, the epicenter of the rioting, and nearby St. Paul.

“The Lincoln Project” is a ludicrous name for a group that has nothing whatsoever to do with the ideas of Abraham Lincoln.

*Lincoln believed in tariffs and “fair trade,” not free trade.
*Lincoln believed in small business and home ownership, via the Homestead Act.

*Lincoln believed in America First. Before the Civil War, he never spoke of the need for foreign territory or a standing army. His famous Lyceum address was entirely focused on internal destruction.
*Lincoln came as close as almost any white leader ANYWHERE at the time . .

contd . . . in accepting full racial equality. He said that like the white man, the Negro should have the right to eat the bread of his own hand. (Yes, like all men of the day Lincoln made some statements today that would be considered racist).

*Lincoln advocated for ‘free soil’-—that did not mean land was free but that men freely contracted with each other for prices. This was in direct opposition to “slave”wages or slavery (i.e., China) which took money from working men through coerced labor.

So, we’re supposed to pay for it? I’m sure this doesn’t include the businesses destroyed.

Far left Democratic candidate for Congress calls for people to report “support” for Trump. The same candidate said if you support Trump you are a traitor, and hence guilty of treason.

This is a dangerous chill of 1st Amendment freedoms. #1A

Mark my words he is not an outlier.

Praise God! I'm glad he is in a place where he is known, but more importantly that you found him. I pray he gets the help he needs and that you are able to find peace in this further turmoil.

COVID-19 is close to losing its epidemic status in the U.S., according to the CDC

The percentage of coronavirus deaths in the country has been declining for ten straight weeks.

By Daniel Payne Last Updated: July 4, 2020 - 1:22pm

FTA
Coronavirus deaths in the country have nearly reached a level where the virus will cease to qualify as an epidemic under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rules, the federal agency reported on Friday.

The CDC qualifies a disease outbreak as an “epidemic” if the number of deaths attributable to the disease exceeds a certain percentage of total deaths per week. That threshold for pneumonia, influenza and COVID-19 fluctuates slightly depending on the time of year, ranging from around 7% at the height of flu season to around 5% during less virulent months.

CDC data indicate that deaths from those ailments began skyrocketing in the country around the second week of March, hitting a peak around early May and then plummeting quickly after that.

The latest data show that the percentage of deaths in the country attributable to those factors had as of the last week in June reached its lowest point since the end of last year, becoming “equal to the [current] epidemic threshold of 5.9%,” the CDC said.

The agency notes that the official tally of deaths “will likely change as more death certificates are processed, particularly for recent weeks.” Yet the number of deaths attributable to COVID-19, pneumonia and influenza have been declining for 10 straight weeks, the agency said on its website, suggesting COVID-19 may cease to qualify as an epidemic in the next few weeks.

The welcome news comes as fear over a “second wave” of the virus has gripped the U.S., with some states experiencing fresh surges of COVID-19 along with increased hospitalizations.

Though infections are significantly up in some places, deaths throughout the country have remained flat, due likely to several factors including a younger cohort of infections as well as improved treatment methods.

Listening to the left tear down every one of America’s founders would be like going to a funeral for a good person, but have someone who hated the person give the eulogy, listing every fault, flaw, failure and imperfection they could think of.....and nothing else.

...And if the Federal Government wasn’t getting ready to go in, and we were all set, it would still be a squatter’s (anarchist’s) mess!

Durkan is right to care about the safety of her family, and right to be upset her home was vandalized. Now, if only she'd exhibited the same care for the safety and property rights of the legal residents/businessowners of CHOP.
