Flubros and Flubras! Day 70 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

Three days in a row of fewer than 800 deaths in USA. R is less than 1 as daily new cases are dropping.

This is really two diseases - the mostly benign version for people 65 and under and the potentially deadly version you see at nursing homes. A friend at a nursing home said that he had one asymptomatic staff member spread it to 22 out of 24 patients. 8 died there. They hired family members to help manage the patients. Tying this back to conservative principles - no abortion means more kids which means more people to take care of the elderly at home. Societies that are worst hit have abandoned the concept of family and require more nursing homes - Italy and Spain commonly have 4 grandparents producing 2 kids, who produce 1 grandchild. That type of pyramid is a disaster with Corona, and in many other ways. The dropping of Western world birth rates to below replacement levels is a disaster caused by people not acting naturally. God always forgives, people sometimes forgive, but nature never forgives.

It’s interesting how even nursing home mortality is lower in some locations versus others (NY and the northeast the worst). Haven’t followed treatment much but I would bet the treatment offered by NY nursing homes is worse than in other nursing homes.

And obviously - the Wuhan Nursing Home Flu shouldn’t continue to be used as an excuse to hold back healthy people!

I’m not so sure you are correct on what travis was. He sure doesn’t act like it now - he is ruler of the drama queens. Who knows - maybe it sells books

The point of the lockdown was to avoid overloading the hospital system, to keep the number of cases under a ceiling, which is the hospital capacity. The hospital system is currently UNDER-utilized.

Now that cases are going DOWN, we want to open up. We WANT the young and healthy to be exposed so that they will develop antibodies, and to ensure that the epidemic runs its course in the summer, when people are more in the sunshine and fresh air, and their immune systems are at their best. We WANT the vast majority of people to get this disease, and recover from it with antibodies, within the next couple of months.

And by your own chart, it would be best for young people to go out of lockdown, as long as they don’t have any elderly at home, and get their immunity.

Probably higher. My personal feeling is that if this weren’t news most people would not be tested. I think we are over testing because of the attention. We know 98% of cases are mild. So I think it’s a cold. Who runs to the doctor wirh a couple days Of sniffles and cough?

But that’s just not as interesting as promoting fear.

Almost 20% of dead in NY were under 60.

Hey, I can do math...that means over 80% of the deaths came from those over 60.

Conservatives seem fixated on the death count rather than total cases terminal and otherwise, one liberal board I frequent pointed out. OTOH the look at the total cases, and instances of difficult breathing, et al.. Any fr eepers pay attention to the effects of CV other than death?

Ever wander through a cemetery and look at the gravestones? This may come as a surprise to you but young people do die. Five people in my high school class died before the age of 30.

HIPAA does not make it illegal for anyone to ask if you have a medical condition, and it does not even apply to most people or businesses. The HIPAA Privacy Rule applies only to “covered entities,” which are health care providers, health insurers, and “clearinhghouses” like billing companies.

The ADA prohibits “unnecessary inquiries” into disabilities, but of course any business is going to argue that inquiring about customers’ potential infection with Covid-19 is necessary, plus there is a “direct threat” exception to the ADA.

I don’t like the mask nonsense either, but I don’t think there is any legal problem with a business excluding you if you don’t wear one, at least under federal law.

But can store owners legally enforce that policy? The short answer is yes

Correct. Private property owners can legally impose any conditions for entry that they like.

And the consumer can find an alternative that doesn’t require a mask.

In the long run, I don’t see businesses that require masks succeeding over those who don’t.

What would happen if a private business decided to put up signs that banned wheelchairs instead of complying with accessibility laws?

That would not be enforceable because there is a law (the ADA) that says they must allow those people. Until there is a law saying that private businesses must admit people without masks, those people may legally be excluded from the property.

Don't get me wrong, I loathe these mask requirements; however, I am being forced to comply.

Have been hoping that like the Waco fascist freeper, the Covid fascist’s funding would dry up and he’d STFU, or start posting meaningless crap to try to bury his propaganda in the past.

I suppose that will happen on Nov. 4 anyway.

I detest our domestic enemies, especially here.

Yes! we have a winner!!!

They can also remain closed if they believe C19 is a threat.

Statistically, the average age at death from the Wuhan flu is greater than the the average life expectancy in the US.

Therefore having a bout of the Wuhan flu may well prolong your life well past the statistical average life expectancy. :)

Statistics... gotta love em.

Agreed, and if they go out of business due to being shut down, they should accept the consequences.
