Doesn’t look like much of a plan. More like a bunch of questions that have to be answered in order to form a plan. These slides should each feature a picture of “Captain Obvious”.

Hopefully it’s not too late for them, but I am glad to see people doing this. It’s about time people were a little more self sufficient.

My neighbor has a gorgeous 6 acres of flat, wonderful soil. She’s in her sixties and fit, teaches Pilates, so I know she could grow a garden, why doesn’t she?

This is good.

At least no one will starve if they can grow food.

Healthier too.

NYC death toll jumps by 3,700 after uncounted fatalities are added
04/14/2020 05:08 PM EDT

The city now has more than 10,000 deaths.
By ERIN DURKIN

New York City’s official coronavirus death toll has soared past 10,000, after thousands of deaths that previously went uncounted were added to the city’s statistics.

In a new count released Tuesday, 3,778 more deaths were added to the rolls — driving up the previously recorded total of 6,589 by more than half. Now, the city records 10,367 deaths related to the virus.

Previously, the city had not counted people who died at home without getting tested for the coronavirus, or who died in nursing homes or at hospitals, but did not have a confirmed positive test result.

I’d sign onto it. Trump shouldn’t be in trouble, since he doesn’t really abuse his power the way previous Presidents have. At least so far.

Virus Deaths at U.S. Nursing Homes Pass 3,800, With 45 at Virginia Facility

The outbreak at a Virginia nursing home has become the deadliest in the nation at a long-term care facility.

About 80 percent of the residents at the Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Richmond, Va., have tested positive for the coronavirus.

At least 45 residents of a nursing home in Virginia have died from the coronavirus, the highest known death toll reported at a long-term care facility in the United States, according to an analysis of case data by The New York Times.

An additional 83 residents have tested positive for the virus at the facility, the Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Richmond, Va., its medical director, Dr. Jim Wright, said in an interview on Tuesday. He said the home had about 160 residents, meaning about 80 percent had contracted the virus.

The Times has identified more than 2,500 nursing homes and other long-term care facilities across the United States with coronavirus cases. More than 21,000 residents and staff members at those facilities have contracted the virus, and more than 3,800 have died.

You need free will to make unique impressions upon the soul. If we just acted like robots following a hard script, the impressions on our souls would more or less be the same. And they would not show your true nature. Those impressions are judged during harvesting. And our souls here on earth have a very unique and strange original source, is my guess. We can never be let out into heaven without judgement or purification. Just my 2 cents.

Four US sailors assigned to French aircraft carrier hit by coronavirus outbreak now in quarantine
By Ryan Browne,
Updated 5:35 PM ET, Tue April 14, 2020

(CNN)Four US military personnel that were assigned to a French aircraft carrier that experienced an outbreak of the coronavirus have been placed into quarantine in France, two US defense officials tell CNN.

The officials said it is unclear whether the sailors have been tested for the virus but said that they appear to be “in good health” and “are being treated well” by the French military.

France’s Ministry for the Armed Forces said in a statement Sunday that the nuclear powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, which has 50 confirmed coronavirus cases on board, arrived in its home port of Toulon on Sunday afternoon and has begun to quarantine personnel who are to be confined to military bases for 14 days.

The presence of US personnel aboard the aircraft carrier has not been previously reported. It is common for US personnel to serve on allied ships in order to bolster interoperability between allied militaries. The US Navy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I’d sign onto it.

While I agree with the statement, and I think all of us cringed a bit when Trump said "total authority", I do not support a partisan and insulting slap at the President over it. They have much more important things to do, and failure to attain unanimous consent doesn't mean people want a king, it is just a rejection of partisan politics during a crisis.

Navy Removes 126 From USNS Mercy After Virus Infects 7

The removal of the 126 sailors will not affect the ship’s ability to treat patients

By Julie Watson and John Antczak • Published 33 mins ago • Updated 33 mins ago

The Navy has removed 126 medical staff members from its hospital ship docked off Los Angeles after seven of them tested positive for COVID-19, an official said Tuesday.

The personnel from the USNS Mercy were taken to a nearby base and remain under quarantine. None so far has needed hospitalization, said Lt. Rochelle Rieger of the 3rd Fleet.

It’s unclear where or how the sailors became infected, Rieger said.
