Me: So how have you been holding up during self-isolation?
Kinfolk: I’m doing everything the CDC is telling me. Staying home and washing everything.
Me: And, is self-isolation slowing the spread of COVID?

Me: How do YOU know it’s working? Have you been tested?
Kinfolk: No, but I haven’t been sick, I don’t have the virus.

I tried listening to it. Made it about 4 minutes.

I've been off all week, and will be next week also. Next week was to be leave week, but the manager said not to take leave, but "shelter in place" and consider myself to be "on-call" if needed at work.
I have been spending 3-5 hours a day doing things around the house. Mostly outdoor stuff - pressure washing the drive, the deck, the front porch, etc. I'm 3/4 of the way through staining/sealing the deck. Then I have the front porch railing to paint, and a pair of old Adirondack chairs that I have (wood ones). So far, I'm enjoying actually getting a few things done around here.
I mean, if life gives you lemons, it's a good idea to make lemonade.
I'm thankful to be in a state that doesn't have a fully fascist democrat governor.
I talked on the phone with a socialist relative yesterday and I try to keep it friendly and respectful but there are so many things I can’t touch. I mentioned about the hydroxy and immediately “Oh not tested, dangerous side effects, and all the lupus patients can’t get any”, said in “that” tone. The tone of automaton/heard it on the news.
Sigh....
