What is currently trending on Facebook, in Canada, is the lack of facemasks. They blame Trump for taking care of his country first.
My response to them has been to ask, "Why did Trudeau not take steps to address the shortage before the pandemic?"

I think the governors know, but they also know that the Federal government will always come in to save them. FEMA was a direct result of inept governors not being prepared to take care of their states, but it has ended up allowing states to completely forego disaster planning.
Citizens will hopefully elect and demand better officials at all levels after this is over. Times like this show the need for smart and competent leaders instead of feel-good types.
Biden and most of the democratic candidates show that they no idea of how to handle something like this pandemic with all of the moving parts being coordinated by the task force. That alone is a concept that only leaders understand. I can imagine Warren saying that she’d appoint only minorities and LGBT folks to a “committee” to deal with this crisis.

WTF. Why does the civilized world think that it’s our responsibility to take care of them and change their collective diapers?? They have all kinds of people in our country stepping up and transforming their businesses to make masks. There are numerous people in this country making masks on their sewing machines.
