I read the article on Western Media and China.
My reaction to it at a gut level was that the author sounded just like the commies after Trump was elected as they lamented and fretted over the Russians stealing the election.
Just be aware, most of the institutional right (from Heritage, to NRO and others) now seem to be shifting to a new essential enemy. And while I tend to agree, I do not believe it because they said so.
Keep your eyes and ears open and make your own decisions about whether, and who our enemies might be.
Our institutions have sullied themselves with the stench of lies. All of them.

Me too, I find it hard to believe some people believe it is related to cell phone towers.

Just found out our friends from my daughters cheer team, we carpool their daughter and vice versa when we had cheer, both their parents got the virus. The dad died Monday at Kennestone. He was on a ventilator for 9 days.
Our friend told us the doctors said the damage to his lungs was so severe he wouldn’t recover. She and her family could not go to see him or anything. The mother ended up having to call an ambulance for herself. She couldn’t go with her husband because she wasn’t exhibiting symptoms at the time. She is doing better but still in the hospital. My guess is they had to be in their 60’s as our friends are in their 40’s.
It has come full circle as we are now in the circle of people who have had acquaintances impacted by this virus.
I order two N99 dusk mask in January that are washable with 38 extra filters. It has the same rating as the N95 just not certified like the medical N95 mask. We were those when we have to go into a grocery store.
N99 and N100 should work great for us who are just walking through a grocery store.
gobbling up PPEs from the western world while withholding critical information and data about a fatal communicable disease was an act of war.
Consider that only one province of China was locked down. One.
That left dozens, all with factories, to produce supply. Those same regions that sent thousands of military doctors and nurses to ‘rescue’ Wuhan and Hubei. Regions with no or little infections. But CCP didn’t order factories to drop everything and produce PPE until March:

And, for CCP to fly in on planes with infiltrating ‘consultants’ complete with their own “XYZ country is grateful”, “China rescues the world” propaganda banners; spy operations hiding behind ‘China aid’. Some of that aid still bearing USA-aid labels - that is, reselling, at a premium, aid sent to them-free.
The day that Xi and his buddy in Wuhan declared the war in Wuhan won, is the day that China should have started flooding the world with PPE. They still haven’t.
To add insult to injury, not only are CCP companies sending out counterfeit trademark (3M) contaminated masks, masks that don’t filter, PPEs that fall apart, test kits that don’t test, (and, more than likely, respirators that probably don’t respirate) (and from a video, fake thermometers), CCP is actually encouraging their companies to engage in bidding wars for product. When it should be at cost - and plentiful.
All the while insisting that the WHO and all future scientific research be controlled by CCP - since they did such a great job of controlling China Origin Virus ID-19 from a local outbreak to an epidemic to a pandemic taking 200K lives or more worldwide.
What China didn’t count on, was, 2 months into a pandemic, the Western World has just about re-sourced most the the PPE and ventilators that China is hoarding.
And we can sew, too :)
Good that he is able to keep staff.
Hopefully, next round of stimulus has some payroll
incentives to help retain staff.
I think the Small business help will be significant, and
expect them to keep funding as needed.

My read of the small business loan language is that the business would not qualify for the loans if they laid off employees.
Many very small business with tight cash flow will not be able to survive long enough to go there—particularly entertainment, restaurant and some retail types of businesses.
Wednesday marked the highest single-day increase in #COVID19 cases in #Florida. 1,032 new positive tests brings the overall total to 7,773. 101 people have died.

Florida is another up and coming “hot spot”.
We are never gonna be like China......make that Italy.........make that New York.........make that....blag blah blah.
Florida had the spring break fiasco AND Louisiana had Mardi Gras CA. has nothing!! Washington state even has very little compared to NY but that is to be expected!!

With restaurants and store front retail, especially, local government is going to have to act quickly to save some of the more endangered, yet viable ones.
These small businesses are always going to be best served by local government, if at all. (crazy, I know)
