Thanks again for keeping the thread up and active. Got lots of things planted today. Only a new grape vine and the red annual salvia for the humming birds to go. Then lots of mulching with straw and finish seed eating. May get done tomorrow.
OTOH since I’m picking up medicine tomorrow I may just walk through the garden area to see if there is anything we really need.

On the way home from work, I drove down PCH & turned up Main Street in HB. There were still lots of people at 3:00 even though it was supposed to end at 2:00.
No police. Most people were on the sidewalks & streets, but also a lot on the beach. Lots of signs & flags. A plane was over head with a Fire Gruesome Newsome banner
We have a Dog Beach & it was full. The dogs were NOT social distancing.
Is this all political retribution. What does the area usually vote? Will he be losing votes or is he just aggravating the opposition because he can?

Yes it is political. HB is very conservative. Our district had Dana Rohrabacher for 30 years until 2018 when ballot harvesting gave it to a Dim. Also the southern part of the district is more liberal than HB. Without fraud, I think we can take it back. I wish Trump would come out for a rally, but now, his rally schedule will be more compact & he probably won’t have time.
In the last few years HB has sued the state over several issues. The state wanted to take away our fire pits at the beach. We sued & won. The state has a law that a certain amount of new housing has to be high-density & low income. The lawsuit is still ongoing for that one. The state wanted to relocate homeless here. We said no & won. We are suing the state to opt out of sanctuary city mandates.
The current city attorney is a friend from baseball & church. He doesn’t settle suits.
New York’s certainly hurting for sexy men if they are the best they have!

Spain and United Kingdom, on the slowdown of the
2020 COVID-19 outbreak. Comparing the trajectory
of the epidemic before and after the lockdown, we
find no evidence of any discontinuity in the growth
rate, doubling time, and reproduction number trends.
Extrapolating pre-lockdown growth rate trends, we
provide estimates of the death toll in the absence of
any lockdown policies, and show that these strategies
might not have saved any life in western Europe. We
also show that neighboring countries applying less
restrictive social distancing measures (as opposed to
police-enforced home containment) experience a very
similar time evolution of the epidemic.

A woman says she was sexually harassed by presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee Joe Biden when she was 14 years old.
The woman, Eva Murry, told Law&Crime that Biden complimented her on the size of her breasts at the First State Gridiron Dinner & Show in 2008, a long-running roast of and party for politicians, journalists and prominent business figures held each year in Delaware. Murry says she remembers the event occurring sometime around May of that year.
One friend and her sister said that Murry told her details of the alleged incident more or less immediately after it happened. Four other friends of Murry’s said they were told about the incident, with the same details, between two and three years after it originally occurred.

Law&Crime interviewed Murry, her sister, and those friends over the course of multiple days. Murry is the niece of former Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell and said she occasionally received school credit for attending such political events. O’Donnell was running a long-shot campaign against Biden at the time that the alleged sexual harassment incident occurred.
“I remember walking into the lobby and being in awe of all the people in such fancy clothes,” Murry said in an interview. “Our two parties of people gravitated towards each other and everyone started saying their hellos. When it was Biden and my aunt’s turn to say hello he quickly turned to me and asked how old I was. I replied with my age and he replied with the comment ‘Fourteen? You’re very well endowed for 14!’ I was confused but it was definitely weird, he looked me up and down and hovered his eyes on my chest so I had some clue [about] the notion of his comment but didn’t fully understand at the time. We quickly separated from his area after the encounter.”
