I’m so tired and I think everyone of my muscles were used today. Took a couple of Aleve.
Ran out and planted the grape vine after supper. I had put minute steaks in crock pot this morning with a can of cream of mushroom soup. Cut up the asparagus and added it to steamed mixed vegetable and finished off with the first watermelon of the season.
Just love summer dinners and all the fresh fruits and vegetables. Won’t be long until we can eat straight out of the garden. And all those aches and pains will be worth it.
I think they must have been because people were mentioning hearing them.

Minute steaks in a crock pot? Something’s not right about that.
We get out, but only once or twice a week.
All travel must be essential now (stop laughing).
But, my neighbors are great, we check up on each other.
The weather has been bad this spring—windy,rainy,cold—always at least two of the three every day.
Very unusual weather for us.
House arrest makes it worse.
My wife has a sewing room, and creates things every day, including masks.
I just try to save the world from my laptop everyday.

I cut my husband‘s hair. It doesn’t look too bad. He saved on gas, had it done outside. And he didn’t tip me.
I might call my girl tomorrow and see if she wants to come out will give me a haircut. I can’t do anything with it.
And with all the stress I had from the accident it falls out in clumps.
Acting Intelligence Chief says he’s “increasingly concerned” over handling of sensitive U.S. person information among agencies and orders broad review

The acting Director of National Intelligence has ordered all 17 of the intelligence community agencies to immediately review whether their handling and sharing of information that identifies U.S. persons — such as citizens and those with permanent residency — are in compliance with strict privacy policies and procedures, according to a memorandum exclusively reviewed by CBS News.
Richard Grenell, who became the acting intelligence chief in February, signed the memorandum with the subject, “Protecting the Privacy and Civil Liberties of U.S. Persons,” on April 29. It directs agencies including the CIA, the NSA, military intelligence and Homeland Security to report back findings, and identify specific actions that will ensure the rules are followed, within 30 days.
In other words, he's relieved he doesn't have to go & be seen by anybody?

Mind-blowing stat:
- The 44 counties within 100 miles of NYC have half of all US #COVID19 deaths (28K)
- That's 67 deaths per 100K population
- Other similar-sized counties had ~12 deaths per 100K
- If the NYC 44 had that same ratio... total US deaths would have just hit ~20K

The president’s executive order increases the secretary of Energy’s ability to prevent the use of select equipment that creates a national security risk. It also allows the secretary to determine which parts of the grid system are at risk and therefore in need of replacement.
Officials leading the effort will assess recent threats from abroad based on information from the U.S. intelligence community. They will then make a judgment on which elements of the power system need replacing. Agencies have been warning for several years that America’s electrical grid is an attractive and vulnerable target to foreign hackers.
The Russian government received blame for a 2017 hacking campaign against the U.S. And national security officials have consistently worried that hostile nations including Russia and China have the ability to cause temporary disruptions, such as blackouts and power and heat outages, to U.S. citizens and businesses.

Houston researchers test lung inhalant that could protect healthcare workers from COVID-19

A Houston company is developing a drug that could protect people in close contact with patients who have COVID-19 from contracting the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
The drug, delivered as an aerosol known as PUL-042, was created by biopharmaceutical company Pulmotect, MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas A&M, which have worked together to develop the drug for more than a decade. PUL-042 has been tested on mice and has had limited human trials in the United Kingdom and at that point would usually be at least a year away from approval by the Food and Drug Administration.
