Just wondering - what people are watching (TV, movies, videos) during this crazy time.

Never posted a vanity before. Sorry if not done correctly.

I highly recommend James Burke’s “Connections”

I watched it on PBS in the '80s every time it came on. Man, it was brilliant, informative and entertaining.

Decades TV is having “The Big Valley” binge all weekend. Worth it the check a stunningly beautiful young Linda Evans.

Netflix is my only source.

Lucifer I will be finishing it up tonight. Fun story in a superhero comic character. Not my usual.

Great production values. Unfortunately Netflix took over the last season, and I see that it is getting darker.

someone someday will explain to me what the attraction is for the Office.

My friends have set me down many a time, the kids too, to watch it.

I just have no patience with some of the characters.

Yet I fully enjoyed The Good Place, which has a similar feel.

If not supernatural, it is death and mayhem crime drama.

Metropolitan Opera Daily Stream

Today's opera is Die Meistersinger, available until 6:30 PM ET. (As long as you start it by then, you can watch the whole thing, even pausing it if you like.)

My daughter had been after me to watch The Office for years. I watched parts of an episode or two and just didn’t get it.

Then, in January of last year, I was laid up in the hospital for a few days. Little else to do but watch TV.

Some station was running an Office marathon and I watched several episodes in a row. It clicked. That morning, I got the weird humor.

When I was released I binge watched it on Netflix. Several times. After years of indifference to it, I came to realize The Office is one of the best, if not the best, comedy series of all time.

Tried to watch Joker. Ugly and depressing. No surprise DeNiro's in it, since it seems to be a mash-up of Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy.

Watched Homeland, Season 7. The one where the Russians try to take down a US president. It was watchable, but I wouldn't have watched it if I had other things to do.

This week Comcast was having free Showtime on demand. Mostly garbage. It's like they deliberately take the stuff that HBO (and AMC and FX) reject. It's like they want to be bad. Too PC too.

I saw some of Jim Carrey's Kidding. Not terrible. Also City on a Hill, Boston crime drama. Also not bad, but too much like the other Boston crime dramas (with a Livia Soprano-type mother-in-law thrown in for free).

Would like to read books, but the internet is too much of a temptation.

I love SG1. Years ago at Dragoncon, I got a chance to talk to Richard Dean Anderson because no one else knew where he was.

We missed it the first time around. We are watching other series from that era that we also missed. The Practice, law firm, good actors and writers, as is the case with Hill Street Blues. Also Ally McBeal, not always up to par but better than what is currently available in the media.

Hill Street Blues is quite different from current cop shows. Fast moving and the characters are interesting. Some day we will catch up on Blue Bloods. Modern day cops not as chaotic and fun as we find the Hill Street bunch.

Hill Street was really good in its own rights.

I’m more of a Barney Miller fan.

I started it this morning...it’s a trainwreck, but mesmerizing.

Also found a YouTube channel that plays Russian movies with English CC’s.

‘Band of Brothers’ sounds good for a re-watch.

So glad to meet someone else who loves SG1. I got to meet Richard Dean Anderson at a con last summer. He is a genuinely nice guy and was very patient with his fans.

I just wish he hadn’t left Sg1 when he did although I totally agree with why he left (to be closer to his young daughter). But after he left Stargate sg1, the series just wasn’t as good, IMHO.

Was it good? I couldn't get past the "trans" thing. Plus, I feel like I got enough of that quirky stuff with Lodge 49 (not a horrible show, but I wouldn't binge it).

“I Still Believe” is available on Amazon Video on Demand. It is available along with a lot of other first run movies. The cost was $20.

I wouldn’t call it good. It was a desperation binge. I have absolutely run out of things to watch. 😂
