Wondering if the stores are still out of tp and other paper products.
Reminds me of a bathroom limerick. Anyone care to repeat it?
Went to Sams in Suprise Az this morning. No TP, No paper towels this week. Heck I just need a regular resupply.. Folks are worried about being locked up for months.
Talked to a buddy if mine today, he has installed Bidet’s on all his toilets. Cheap, and easy to do.
FL gulf coast, Publix has had some sporadically, sells out quickly.
Trying to get sanitizer, liquid soap or lysol wipes is impossible.
Stores say trucks are late and may arrive anytime during day, not overnight as usual.
They stock shelves as they get it and it sells out quickly.
**In Mexico, plenty of toilet paper,**
On our trip there in 2000, we were told you HAD to purchase a few sheets from a vendor at the rest room.
At the rest room, a man was selling a few sheets for a few quarters, backed up by an armed uniformed policeman.
We bought the TP.
Warehouse stores now have some senior hours - research those (generally 1 hour before general opening but maybe not every day) and if you find yourself lacking in the life experience needed to access them, kiss up to an older relative or friend and grab a 36 pack like my wife did on Friday.
About 10 packages of TP in the local Walgreens today. Probably gone by now.
yes we are still out of TP
USA can put men on the moon but
USA can’t put TP on the grocery shelf
If there’s a WinCo near you I’d try there first.
No credit cards, which keeps the hoarding to a minimum.
Ping.
The problem with Amazon is that the delivery times for most of their toilet paper is more than a month out.
If you’re lucky you may be able to order something with sooner delivery but you have to jump on it fast or it’s gone. I ordered some a few days ago due to be delivered by 4/2 but it hasn’t shipped yet.
Shelves bare at Hannaford in E Greenbush NY.
Other shelves also emptying out.
Back in the day,we use to wipe our ass with barbed wire, and we were lucky to have it;)
+++++I
I have lot of trouble believing your story.. But, had you said corn cobs, I would have turned to my wife and said I told you so.
The practice may not have been widespread in the Middle West but it wasnt zero either. The alternative was pages from a Sears catalog.
“No matter how much you shake and dance, the last drop always falls in your pants”?
I went into Costco today. There was a sign at the entrance listing items not available. It was about half a dozen items but toilet paper wasn’t on the list. I didn’t need to get toilet paper so I didn’t check to be sure but that is my report from the front lines so to speak.
Go to online shopping at the store you want to go to. We ordered food today that we will have to wait until tomorrow to pick up. The store is that busy. We ordered and paid on line.
We will drive into the parking lot and they will put the groceries in the back. We don’t have to get out of the vehicle.
If you can’t get online, call them to see how they can help and what they have.
Our local rural store (fairly large all in one shopping) had set aside the first hour in the morning for elderly. I was going to go in but we are getting cases of the virus in our community, thanks to the tourists not honoring the quarantine. My wife would probably not survive if she got it, so I will take no chances.
Ok this is it:(bathroom graffiti)
Someone here pulled off a caper.
Left me sitting here with no paper.
This problem I will not let linger.
So look out $hit. Here comes my finger!
They got a bit sidetracked on making those dang complicated ventilators, but GM has now gotten together with the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner Company, and they are jointly working on a new machine to make TP obsolete. (Make sure when you get one, that you get enough hoses for the entire family, so you have one for each TP user!)
The main stores in Houston are out. I went to a mexican supermarket today called Ranchero. The TP aisle had more than you can shake a stick at.
