President Trumps suggestion that he would like to see the country begin reopening by Easter, which is April 12, has met with a lot of skepticism. But it may not be that far-fetched.
While almost all of the news about the coronavirus pandemic has been negative, there are reasons to think things wont be as bad as many of the news outlets and talking heads are predicting. Here are some of them:

Its just to point out that there are reasons to hope this crisis may pass sooner and with less economic and human damage than we are being led to believe.
I keep a close watch on our local hotspot numbers and over the past two days it has flattened. I suspect we are reaching the top of the bell and may begin to flatten by mid week in many areas.
If your state has been shut down until May, what good does that do? Can you imagine a Democrat governor’s saying, “Oh, sorry. I overreacted.”
Make no mistake, on MSNBC, CNN, and all of the others, Trump PROMISED that everything would be back to normal by Easter. No, that’s no at all what he said. I heard it live. But that’s what they ran with. Your friends, your family members, your co-workers, the other people in the retirement community, you neighbors ... that’s what they are hearing over and over. Trump PROMISED that this would all be over by Easter. A lie gets halfway around the world ...
And the media repeatedly said wed have 2.2 million deaths in the US. If its actually less than 5,000, then Trump is a miracle worker.
Never underestimate, The Trump
I can guarantee you it will not be less than 5000. I expect we will have 1000 deaths just today. We would be lucky if we have less than 20,000 by the second week of April.

What area?
The only way I see us reopening on April 12, is if enough mask manufacturing comes online to provide not only for health care workers but for the entire public.
NO masks we shouldn’t reopen.
How pray tell did you come up with those numbers? Worldometers has the US at 1,943 deaths so far, with 247 in the last 24 hours. That assumes the information provided is correct. As they are seeing in Europe, some of their COVID-19 deaths really weren’t.
Cough *Gretchen Whitmer* cough
‘Essential’ workers don’t have a choice. Identify, isolate, destroy, write stories about it.
I am taking his advice. I am purchasing tickets today from Mexico City to Cancun for $23 one way, and hotels at 70%. I want to help get the economy going again.
Through a process called statistical extrapolation. It is familiar to people skilled in said discipline. I am assuming US death count reported every day is accurate as opposed to China’s.
Or as POTUS referred to her: Gretchen HalfWhit-mer.
Not everyone needs a mask. Even now when you go to the store only about 1 in 10 maybe 1 in 50 have a mask?
And people are not dropping over dead left and right.
Same with the work place. Only people who come in close contact with other people need masks and not all of them probably even need gloves depending.
Definitely anyone cleaning and wiping needs stuff down needs gloves and masks.
What state has been shut down until May.
Schools here in NY have been postponed another 2 weeks
Cuomo DOESN’T want the lockdown that Trump is talking about.
You guys gotta do more reading and research before throwing out blanket statements :)
Cuomo’s a jerk, but he’s not said anything about May yet.
Is it true though that as long as you’re in a republican state you can’t die from this thing? :)
We call her Whit-less
No. The information on Worldometers is a bit misleading. We had 401 deaths yesterday. 247 reported so far today. So, using the chart number that I did is not the complete answer. But still, 1,000 for today seems like a stretch. We may not even reach 500 for today.
