San Francisco's mayor has announced an unprecedented three week lockdown that will begin on Tuesday at midnight and which bans anyone from leaving their home for anything other than doctor's visits or trips to the supermarket.
In addition to the lockdown in city parameters, six counties in the Bay Area are being told to 'shelter in place'.
The lockdown is the strictest action to be taken in America. Anyone who breaks it faces legal repercussions.
It will last until April 7. Mayor London Breed called it a 'defining moment' on Monday morning.

Force every city employee to board one homeless person - and they must have bathroom and kitchen privileges!
Are they going to round up the homeless? Are they going to pay for the businesses that are shutting down, that will go out of business? Is this necessary so quickly in San Francisco, maybe they can hose and disinfect the city down while everybody’s indoors.

Cleanup in Aisle 5, Dairy Case, Stat!
In my younger and more vulnerable years I had one of my first jobs bagging groceries in a medium sized grocery chain store. We would get called to do cleanups and it was always predictable what you would encounter in one particular aisle - an old lady would loose her grip on the 3 gallon jar of Heinz pickles and drop it on the floor, or better yet drop it into the cart and it would explode. Get out the mop. But, nothing like this depravity.
