First, let me say I am more than pleased in how my chemo and radiation treatments have been going. No nausea at all from the chemo and outside the pain from the arthritis in my shoulders holding my arms over my head for 15 to 20 minutes during radiation, I am not suffering much at all. Oh, I am down in the dumps at times and have fatigue to the max. I am sleeping about 16 hours a day.
All in all, the whole experience has been much better than I ever expected and all thanks to you all who gave me their prayers and support. I am so thankful to y'all!
Now, back at the ranch-- Coronavirus Insanity is real! The drive by media and the DemocRATS, never letting a crisis go to waste, are trying with all their might to kick fear into hyper-drive against President Trump and the Republicans and a part of it has hit close to home--
Hell, it has hit home right here in Corsicana, Texas, 56 miles south of Big D.
I went out for my last radiation treatment for the week at noon and then went down to the local HEB Grocery to get some milk. Now, granted, I have not been out and about much other than to get my chemo and radiation treatment, but as I drove up to HEB the parking lot was crammed to the brim.
Finally finding a parking spot, I made it inside and found an empty handicap cart and entered a land of folks filling grocery carts to the brim. Oh, I was able to get milk, yet I found there was not a roll of toilet paper to be found. Just a whole wall of empty racks where it should be stocked. Nor was there any hand sanitizer either. And thinking of my need to use distilled water in my COPD unit I went to get a couple of gallon jugs. Yep, the water section was just as empty as the toiler paper area.
I waited in line for nearly 20 minutes to pay for my milk and a couple of other things and then went down the street to Brookshires' discount brand grocery and found they were also out of water, too.
I realized I had several extra distilled jugs at home, so I figure I'll try again early in the morning when the trucks make their grocery deliveries. Getting home, I took the two distilled jugs I used as drinking water out of the fridge to save for my COPD. I filled up four empty jugs with water from the sink faucet and put them in the fridge for drinking.
Hey Danny...Thanks for keeping us in the loop. I will keep praying for you!
God Bless and keep the updates coming - it helps as a reminder to say another prayer and you are setting an example that so many would be incapable of with your apparent good mood...here’s hoping God still has big plans for you.
Thanks for the update. I can see the radiation hasn’t zapped your sense of humor.
Hugs and prayers.
Sounds like a good after action report, brother! Good to hear that you are mobile and your normal sense of humor is intact! Keep hammering away at the cancer! You can and will kick it’s arse!
GOD BLESS!!
Stay positive. We need you around here.
Great attitude. Praying for you!

Thanks for the update, Danny! Continuing prayers.
I was called by the radiation folks telling me to not come in today for treatment. They want me to have a blood test Monday morning before they put me back in the machine. Anywho-- I had to bite the bullet at 8:30 AM and drove myself up to Waxahachie for my third shot this morning. The old Camry did perfect, getting me there and back in one piece. Back in the Big C I made my Post Office stop and then on to HEB where I picked up my new prescription Eliquis 5mg.
Then home noonish feeling ever so tired, I snacked a bit and them popped on the COPD mask for a long nap. Snoozed for about 4 hours and awoke feeling some what better. The aches and pains are much less so sat down and wrote this.
I have a bunch of old TCM films on mu DVR to pass the weekend, so until next time same, bat channel, y'all all take care and God Bless,
Danny
Sorry you are going through this, Danny.
You are in my prayers.
Prayers for a full, speedy recovery.
“Then home noonish feeling ever so tired, I snacked a bit and them popped on the COPD mask for a long nap.”
For good naps, hook up the Cpap mask.
Remember no Nsaids when on your blood thinner rx.
FATHER GOD,
Thank You for seeing BENDER2 through his radiation treatments. Help him to look to You for healing, strength, and hope. May HOLY SPIRIT administer healing to every diseased cell.
Give BENDER2 a restful weekend.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.
Prayers.
Thanks for the update.
Praying for continuing strength and relief from your pain.
Do take care. Hope your restful weekend will help.
Thanks for the update, Danny. You’re in my prayers. My favorite Uncle is going through this right now, too. They got the tumors in his pancreas and now they’re working on his liver. Killing the tumors in the pancreas was a flat-out miracle, so miracles DO happen!
Hang in there and rest and enjoy those great TMC movies. I have ‘Notorious’ (Alfred Hitchcock, Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman) coming and it should be here tomorrow. :)
Prayers up Danny. Thank you for your updates. While the Good Lord guides and comforts you in this, please stay positive and hopeful. This probably won’t help a bit. But I have recently ordered some blackstrap molasses for medicinal purposes. The mineral content is said to provide relief for several things. It may or may not offer a little easing of the acid reflux, and the aches and pains. I couldn’t say. At least it should be a yummy treat. :)
Hugs and Love to you, Danny. Prayers continuing.
