I was the strange kid who didn’t (still don’t) like cokes, ice cream or potato chips.
My sis liked (still likes) them, and mom and dad would buy plenty :(
I can’t remember the last time I baked a box cake....and, I bake a LOT of cakes. My (grown) kids would probably revolt, if I tried baking one, now.

The sixth confirmed case of coronavirus infection among Connecticut residents is in Westport, local officials announced Friday, as hospitals worked to expand testing, businesses braced for losses and residents scrambled to prepare for the anticipated worsening of the crisis.
The Westport case adds to three announced Thursday, two of which involved Connecticut residents: a Stamford woman in her 60s who had traveled to Italy and a child in Stratford between the ages of 5 and 10.
Additionally, a woman in her 20s who lives in New York tested positive at Greenwich Hospital.
I think the schools must receive LOTS o’money, for those *FREE* meals they deal out....YEAR round :(
Compliments of you and I.
And, IIRC, it is cr@p food.

Use up a jar of old preserves for the filling. Jelly is too liquidy and runs out the edges but still wouldn’t pass one up. I use a quart jar ring to cut the cookie dough and prick air holes on top.
My MIL gave me a killer recipe for buttercream frosting (she got from a little old lady at her church). I’ve used that for birthday cakes for years now. One year, when my youngest was about 10 or so she wanted one of the canned frostings (there was a unicorn on the can or something, with sprinkles). So I did that. When she ate the cake, she gagged and scraped all the frosting off. LOL.
Granny recipe buttercream for the win.
NYC 50% more cases.
Snowball time. :(
Hmmm, sounds like a job for the apple butter or blueberry butter I make in the crock pot.

Ha! Love it.
Had similar thing happen when oldest wanted to start baking. She wanted to take the easy route, and use box/canned stuff.
We all had to have a piece, but she realized that the canned/box mixes weren’t worth the time...or effort.
I’d run seeing OJ with gloves on.
Cheaper and more filling to have a hot bowl of oatmeal with plain ol’ evaporated cow’s milk.
Okay...y’all are makin’ me hangry!
Thank you, very much, for posting these updated numbers.
