sorry for the slide here...
hey...that’s great. so he will see some savings if he has the right kind of loan.
i did the same with my son. he went JUCO to see if he wanted to continue his education. He got his associate’s degree and we covered that.
He then went to a 4 year state school (took a summer job before his 4th year and liked the job so much he stayed and never went back to school) and we covered that. He has no student loan debt.
My daughter? slightly different story (and the reason we covered all our son’s schooling).
let’s just say she has high standards and that costs. She went 4 years to a private school where tuition and R&B at the time weren’t too much behind Ivy league. Once she got her foot in the door, she applied for every scholarship she could get her hands on. We ended up covering about half of her costs(to include her car...school was only about a half an hour away but she needed to live on campus and I get that.) which were probably twice as much as my son’s full tuition.
My daughter has outstanding student loan debt that is almost paid off. She incurred a chunk more when she got her masters (U of N Carolina - out of state tuition) and if she gives her school district 6 years, they’ll pay for her Doctorate (ED.D), in which all she has to do is finish her thesis and pass. Since she is a principle of a school, they are already giving her credit for her working time while doing her Doctorate studies.
Interesting thing...my granddaughter (my son’s daughter) is now commuting to the same college as where my daughter went. My granddaughter has some of my daughter’s teachers for some of her classes. My daughter went there before G’daughter was born...
My granddaughter is studying in the U.K. this semester. We were able to get her booked on a flight home this Sunday. The flippin college was way too late in canceling the study abroad program. She was coming home regardless.
U.K. so far is exempt from the travel ban and U.S. citizens are so far exempt.
Praying all goes smooth.
sorry for being so yappy
Thanks pax, just have to watch which way I turn and then its slowly I turn, step by step.
Kids in CO. Told me they want extra security at their hospitals.

Can anyone explain how a virus (identified in Wuhan in Dec 2019) spread to the Canadian prime minsters wife, one of Hollywoods top actors & his wife, a Premier League football manager, and a British member of parliament - within 16 weeks - while bypassing the majority of us?

President Tested, waiting for results.
Powell’s job is at risk.
Good link. More stories about people in the US being sick in the last quarter of 2019. I have tracked several here locally that I know were sick in that period. I talked with four of them and they all reported symptoms that would be tested today - if any tests were available. Also, there were deaths from pneumonia during the same period that would have been diagnosed as “flu” related because that was the norm then.
I submit(based upon these reports) that COVID-19 has been here in the US since the end of October 2019.
