What you are showing is not low lethality, but rather fast spread.
66 dead, 291 recovered, 1144 still sick and unresolved.
Your argument that there are undoubtedly a large number of unknown sick is valid. The rest is trash.
Dividing dead by infected during the rapid spread of the disease isn’t meaningful.
As example, using that method:
If you were to replace “Coronavirus” with “Ricin”, and inject 100 people with a dose which would kill 100% in a week, then every day double the number of people you give the injection, using your method, after one week you would have a fatality/injection ratio of 0.78% (100/12,700), for a 100% fatal toxin. Obviously, that is a ridiculous methodology.

I think that Iran is concerning.
Washington State has 330 deaths per 1,000 cases.
And the deaths in the USA were mostly residents in nursing homes, people on life support with conditions before hand and weak. Shouid be glad that they can finally go over the hill, down innto the valley with a good cough.

Smoking may have allot to do with the deaths. This virus seems to attack the lungs. Maybe all of the tar build up in the lungs is a perfect nesting ground for the little virus babies that can block the airways.

It is really tough to do this, because
there are so many variables from one country to another.
Best just use the USA numbers which is a familiar system to us.
This virus sure move fast through certain countries. What could China, Italy, Iran and South Korea have in common as far as a catalyst. Could there be something they breath in the air, or something in their water or eat.
Two places that people typically don’t go to for healthcare when they get sick... Italy and Iran. People with money in those countries go to US or continental Europe for serious operations and medical diagnosis.
