Homeless at DFW airport.
2/19/20 | Dallasbiff

Posted on 02/19/2020 3:23:58 PM PST by DallasBiff

I came back from a flight last night around midnight at Terminal A gate 15 and was surprised by all the homeless sleeping in the area around baggage claim and in the hallways.

I guess they take the DART train to the A terminal and sleep the night, and are rounded out in the morning.

This situation makes Dallas county and the DFW airport look bad at their ineptness to deal with homelessness. I heard about this situation about 2 weeks ago and called Fox affiliate KDFW channel 4 and they brushed it off. I should have taken video but I respected the privacy of the people sleeping in the hallway.

Wow, didn’t know all that!

The Deans, professors, and student tour guides that we met at Baylor were all very conservative as far as we could tell.

Son wants a double major Finance and pre law. He also flies and they have a budding Aviation program. Baylor’s law school is well respected.

TCU has a joint 3/3 pre law/JD program with Texas A&M which seems interesting.

I’ll do more research on the politics. Thanks!

Thanks for this post. I only fly once every year or so to hang out with grandkids in Alabama but as a 60+ female and not being able to use my CHL in-flight, I appreciate the heads up. We live 100ish miles southwest so not near enough to know but it’s also the nearest airport.

Spread the word that Austin and Houston have more free stuff and that will clear them out.

I would suggest you research carefully before choosing Baylor for your child. I have lived near Waco most of my life. Baylor University is almost 180 degrees what it was 30 years ago. I would not want my grandchildren there.

We did Torchy’s Tacos. (I got the Republican!) Also visited the Dr Pepper Museum, Magnolia, the Mammoth site, etc.

But we didn’t see Heath Camp. Will look for that next time.

Healthcamp is pretty far from what one would expect from the name. Best old fashioned greasy burgers in McLennan county! And real malts. Fries and Orings are the real deal too.

Thanks for the tip, but if Baylor turns out that bad, we may never be back!!!

Best of luck if you have to drive on I-35, by the way!

I think I saw an article about the homeless in Denver doing this as well.

My son has friends from high school at Baylor. Good girls that went bad quick at Baylor.

I would never let a girl go there after talking to him about his friends. There are predators there, preying on good but naive, christian girls.

DFW airport is split down the middle between Dallas and Tarrant counties, and the homeless are camping in Dallas County.

Here is the address: 2400 Aviation Dr, DFW Airport, TX 75261. One map I saw had the border that showed the border going right through Terminals A, C and E. The public areas would be in Tarrant, and the Secure areas would be in Dallas County. I do not trust that map. I bet my old MAPSCO maps would have the exact position. I am on the road and will check that out when I get home, and report back to you. After March 1. Heading for Florida and some Spring Training!
