If it comes to witnesses, they will have Schiff on the stand and play his own words about needing to impeach Trump to prevent his reelection.
Take a look at one of the President’s Tweets. It shows a video of the Democrats themselves attacking impeachment. Of course it’s from the Clinton impeachment but it reveals their absolute hypocrisy. Also another video there shows the Defense attacking the Biden’s.
In my opinion, what the Democrats are doing by demanding witnesses, they full well know that that would tie up the Senate for the next 9 months, and end in failure. So what is the point? By doing it this way, they can guarantee that nothing gets done in the Senate until after the election, thereby meaning that Trump (and all Republicans) will have no chance for a record of accomplishment before the election. THEY KNOW that they will not get a conviction, so it is a ‘rope a dope’ strategy, and if allowed, it will destroy the Constitutional Republic ans we know it...
