Just realized that. But still! I’m gonna be a mess when one of the Wilson sisters go, especially Nancy. She was my inspiration to pick up the guitar, and it’s been 40+ years.

And The Trees. But, he got annoyed when anyone brought up Ayn Rand to him and said he no longer believed what he believed in his 20s.

I've long considered Neil Peart right up there with Buddy Rich when it came to the very best drummers.
RIP

He was a notoriously private man, so we wont know unless the family decides to reveal that.

I've long considered Neil Peart right up there with Buddy Rich when it came to the very best drummers. Agreed. Both were almost as good as Carl Palmer.

Had some friends in college that went up to Montreal to see Aerosmith.
Rush was the warm up, and they told that when the drummer, I’m assuming it was Peart, opened the set, the arena went silent.
Rush out-shined Aerosmith that night, and were replaced soon after for the rest of Aerosmith’s tour.

Sad. He was my favorite drummer and lyricist. The world has lost a true treasure. His lyrics were often conservative too. Ayn Rand was one of his influences.

blah-blah-blah...read his most recent views including an interview with Rolling Stone, which i’m sure is on this site somewhere, where he used the left wing narrative that all conservatives and Republicans “hate brown people”...
