That was really cool to see opening the show.
His early hero, Ayn Rand, was an atheist, so that stands to reason.
I hope so too. Selfishly, I always thought how unfair it was for people to live in sin, hate God and then 10 minutes before they die, they apologize to God and really mean it. Kinda pisses me off. Lol.
Take it up with God, then.

It’s about a 10 minute or so read. Peart was an accomplished motorcyclist and traveled between shows and to and from shows...
It’s a nice read.
The man was awesome on percussion.
Farewell to one of the greatest musicians of my lifetime - a true legend of immense talent.
Oh I have. He reams me out for being a spoiled brat.
I’m distraught. Such a fine drummer. Great musician.
His wife died of cancer in 1997. About 6 months later, his teenage daughter Selena (his only child at the time) died in a car accident outside Toronto. God Bless this man.
RUSH RULES!!!
He could have committed legal suicide
First Saw Rush on Moving Pictures tour, and a few more other tours back in the day. And then had the privilege of taking my third son who loves Rush like me to the last tour (R40 in Chicago). And today, just before the news broke, my son walked into the house with his own brand new vinyls of Fly By Night and 2112.
All the world was indeed his stage; and now he plays on an eternal stage.
I didn’t know Rush Limbaugh had a drummer. Or was this the person who preceded Bo Snerdly as his call screener?
Jesus warned us, see the parable of the Prodigal Son.
Wow was just watching some Rush youtube videos the other day.
Major sadness.
Grace Under Pressure and Power Windows were my only ones. They were amazing.
Drumming legend Buddy Rich died after surgery to remove a cancerous brain tumor.
Any comment from Mike Portnoy?
I hear ya! Just had another drummer hubby and I knew personally killed on New Years Eve, after playing a great gig from what we’ve heard. He had a hotel room, but wanted to go home instead. An Army Recruiter coming the other way drifted off to sleep, crossed the highway and took him out. No alcohol involved. You just never know. Has been quite a shock to all my musician friends in Missoula. He was 62.
Definitely. My sons buddy is a drummer and is super bummed. He was a huge influence on multiple generations.
