Buckingham Palace is understood to be 'disappointed' at Harry and Meghan's decision to quit as senior royals amid claims that the couple did not tell the Queen before they announced their departure on social media.
They made their announcement on their official Instagram account this evening following speculation about a move.
Following their statement, the BBC's Royal Correspondent Jonny Dymond said on Twitter: 'BBC Understands that no other member of the Royal Family was consulted before Harry and Meghan issued their personal statement tonight, the Palace is understood to be "disappointed".'
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman followed up by saying that discussions with the couple on their decision were 'at an early stage', adding: 'We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.'

No. They were booted, but allowed to put out to the public that it was their idea. Seems the queen and Charles are revamping the roles of the royal duties. Royals get paid by the queen for their duties and appearances. They also get clothes allowances. Seems Meg has been getting free clothes for advertising for designers. The queen put a stop to that because Megan’s photos were on so many brand websites to sell clothes...which is a huge no-no! She had turned in fake receipts for her wardrobe which totaled 2 million. She didn’t mention she got the clothes for free for advertising. She also tried to sell photos of inside the personal residence of the queen. She bought up dozens of website names prior to getting married to merchandise the royal brand. She was assigned a “ minder” to keep her in her place when around other royals. She was always trying to be photographed close to the queen on the balcony and functions for merchandise photo ops. She was constantly told to let “senior” royalty walk ahead of her. She showed up at Charles garden party event uninvited. Camille promptly ordered her to leave.

She is and has been toxic, toxic, toxic. I fully expect to see Harry in a Hallmark Movie before it’s all over.
This is her third marriage.
God only knows how many other hookups. She was a yacht girl.
I’ll bet Me-again discovered being royal wasn’t as wonderful as she thought it would be and now wants to return to acting, wearing the kind of clothing she wants, and avoid official appearances while enjoying all the perks.
With her taste, returning to acting is the only only way they can be “financially independent”.
Bet there aren’t any more babies either.

That still won't place Harry and Megs any closer to the throne, barring the disastrous deaths of all of William's children. And the odds that she will stay married to Harry for 15 years? Nah.
Surely the royal family has had his dna tested in the 30 years since the rumors started; and if he were not Charles’ son, it would have been dealt with decades ago. Harry is dumb, but not a bastard.
I think what most civilized people want for one of our most valuable geopolitical allies, if their monarchy is to be dismantled, is an orderly legal process—not a pushy American in-law trying to foment a revolution, repudiate their 1,000-year-old institution and play the race card and wokeness to do it. She's just totally out of line. And he needs years of therapy.
Think of being able to actually walk in those same palaces and such as a tourist.. I’d gladly evict the Royals.. they can move to switzerland or sweden if they still want to retain their Royal ‘air’.

I think Meghan (and Harry in tow) know they won’t rule the land. But I think they want something “greater” - to be the de facto Royal Couple. Remember when Tony Blair called the late Diana “the People’s Princess”? If they have scores of admirers and psychophants that “outweigh” the REAL Royal Couple, they’d likely be happy....sort of like how Hillary keeps coming back on the scene, how Harry’s late Mother won the hearts of (most of) the Country, and so on. If the youths of today in the U.K. remain supportive of them as they age, they may make it work.

Republicans have sported the only two divorcé presidents. In contrast, the Clintons remain married and, depending upon the quantum of tin foil hats in the room, it's amazing the Obamas married in the first place.

having your mom killed when you are 12 in a foreign country with a man other than your father would probably do that. And I agree this is Megans doing; I feel bad for Harry, he is being manipulated by his family or his wife.
I'm sure the DNA tests were done. If Charles is not the father the test results would remain a secret. No reason to have a scandal and make Diana's infidelity public.
Harry would have been told that he would never be king. Harry got so ticked off with the queen and the rest of the royals that he married a twice-married black divorcee. Then he connected with his friends the Clintons and Obamas to start a money making foundation.
