Buckingham Palace is understood to be 'disappointed' at Harry and Meghan's decision to quit as senior royals amid claims that the couple did not tell the Queen before they announced their departure on social media.
They made their announcement on their official Instagram account this evening following speculation about a move.
Following their statement, the BBC's Royal Correspondent Jonny Dymond said on Twitter: 'BBC Understands that no other member of the Royal Family was consulted before Harry and Meghan issued their personal statement tonight, the Palace is understood to be "disappointed".'
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman followed up by saying that discussions with the couple on their decision were 'at an early stage', adding: 'We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.'

How does one resign from royal duties? Even when Edward abdicated, they still set him up as the Duke of Windsor and he served his exile in Bermuda. And if Harry and Meghan are doing this does it mean they are going to be financially independent?
The Bahamas and David had his own money and lots of it; unlike Harry, who has some trust funds. And that Governorship only lasted through WW 11 and was to get David as far away from Hitler ( who had promised to put him back on the throne , with Wallis as Queen , when the Nazis won ) as possible. also BIG difference between David and stupid Harry in other ways.

Some (most) millineals refuse to see that there are bad people out there and if you dare say anything about someone like Meghan, they are quick to tell you how bad you are. I know because my daughter and my friends daughters all act like this. Roll their eyes and treat us like we are some kind of idiots. All on their moral high horses.

Sometimes I watch “Deadly Women” on I.D. Maybe Meghan is spiking his sweet tea or Gatorade with antifreeze and is slowly watching him decline. (They do that, y’know!) LOL!

Not that Harry and his ‘friend’ are ever going to rule the country, but rumor is Charles is getting to old to take over so the Queen has given it to William and Kate, which in my opinion as an outsider, is an excellent choice...
I don’t like Charles and blondie; and I don’t like Harry because he doesn’t have a spine, not saying that William does but at least William and Kate won’t be an embarrassment to the Royal Family...(Prince Andrew and Epstein)...
As people age, and hopefully mature, they begin to see things with a different perspective. Meghan appeals to the younger generation because, like AOC (whom she physically resembles) she is a product of the current cultural miasma. Youth culture on steroids, overfeminized society, emotions over logic.
It will be interesting to see if young Brits will later regard her differently. IF they mature. Unfortunately that is the major question about that generation.
