Such good thinkers here one and all. I heard Shifty Shift say something about holding the impeachment in the House and not sending to Senate a month ago. That’s what made me think they could do it.
I’m currently on IV in hospital to get rid of water retention. Kidneys not doing their job. Prayers appreciated.
Ditto.
Keep us posted on any strategy you come up with.
I dont have much faith in majority of GOP leaders. Including #WheresRonna.
A perp allegedly sexually abused a 3 y/o boy. A judge sets bail, and @BronxFreedom paid it. After he was free by the criminal advocates, Luis Olivo was then arrested for allegedly groping 8 y/o girl. This is a disgrace.https://t.co/SFRXa7jNXr— NYC PBA (@NYCPBA) December 5, 2019
I think “Brave New World” is a better dystopian look at the future. Technology is almost there. 1984 is so last century.
Prayers up!!
Hope you are feeling okay. Can you tell the difference when they are functioning versus not? I mean in how your body feels?
“The Senate has the right to dismiss the charges of impeachment by a majority vote and refuse to hold a trial.”
I thought I read something somewhere that a group of GOP Senators had sent a letter to Lindsey Graham that this is what they wanted to do.
Since I can’t remember who, when, or where, and it’s not being reported on FR’s Side Bar, I’m likely wrong.
No, you’re right. A number of Republican senators want to vote to dismiss any charges that emanate from the House. McConnell, however, has said that if the House votes to impeach, the Senate will hold a trial.
That is very scary.
The Senate has the right to dismiss the charges of impeachment by a majority vote and refuse to hold a trial.
If doable this is exactly what should be done!
Then have McConnell tell Pelosi, “You don’t like? Well take the Senate in 2020 and have the trial! In fact have your Senate Rat candidates run on that issue!”
@jeffsessions
The conclusion of the Democratic majority in the House is predetermined and does not rely on or have any connection to evidence. In other words, everything you see right now in Washington, related to impeachment, is merely a show. #ALSen

Prayers.
It’s Kabuki Theater.
Trump and Pelosi already know the outcome and have planned it together.
They have one thing in common, they both want “The Squad” to be discredited.
“1984 is so last century.”
LOL!!
We can go that way as well.
I do have one copy of Brave New World, but about 5 of 1984 (thrift shop finds).
I think 1984 is more well-known, and quoted from quite often. Personally, I wanted to read it so I remember more easily the quotes and scenarios so I can bring them up to people about the election and the way the country is headed. Everybody around my age has likely read it in high school. Sadly, people around my son’s age didn’t even have it as an option to read for credit.
Hey, I am happily not remembering things that didn’t happen! Two negatives there so that made no sense. I mean I am not making things up and thinking it is real. So I still get to vote Republican!
I’d actually love to see a senate trial, after seeing what a sham the house impeachment was. All those witnesses, plus others that were never called to be Witnesses, need to be grilled.
I’ll supply the popcorn.
“But democrats are making the rules up as they go along and the Constitution be damned as far as they are concerned!”
That bares repeating!
OK, so the dims impeach which they can do at anytime, my question is can they hold it up, not deliver it to the Senate for trial?
I’m not trying to be difficult but some have mentioned that the dims will hold it up from going to the Senate for trial.
I just want to know can they do that?
Thank you, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. (Religion Of Peace) Bush and Barry (Obamatollah) Obama.
And thanks to the 102nd to 116th congresses.
You made it all possible!

Maybe this is the PERFECT time to do just that.
