JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told a Christian broadcaster she learned her husband was seeking a divorce in an email from his attorney.
The revelation came in an interview released Tuesday with James Dobson, founder of the Family Talk Christian ministry. He said the interview had been conducted previously.
Palin said she received an email June 19 from the attorney, almost three months before Todd Palin filed for divorce on his birthday in September.
She described the filing that came shortly after their 31st wedding anniversary as devastating. I thought I got shot, she said.
Palin said theyre going through counseling and their marriage isnt over, over. She said attorneys are getting rich off them.

I surely understand.
My concern would be about my family, pets, and extended family.
Imagine that you’ve won One Million Dollars. Maybe you’d garner about $600,000 to $700,000 from that - if you live in a ‘good’ state.
It would be enough to make you, your immediate family, AND your pets, quite comfortable for some years - provided the economy didn’t collapse.
Then: throw a few thousand at everyone you care about, and -
Before you know it, they’ll be back, asking for more - (not to mention all the strangers who have found out your name and address, and importune upon your good nature. In fact, they will think that you somehow OWE it to them!)
Have Fun :-)
Matthew 6:20
Yes. I keep telling my beloved I wouldn’t want him to win big. The first thing to do is tithe. There are folks who do not like lotteries and definitely have a problem with tithing from those proceeds.
I like the idea of giving it away. Thankfully, I am on the outs with most of my family and they know how I think.
As usual, you are right on the money.
It’s a disgrace how so-called conservatives are quick to join the left in slandering Sarah. She achieved her political success on her own merits instead of through her husband (Looking at you, Hillary!).
You make a good point about Todd and how he has never lifted a finger nor uttered a word in Sarah’s defense.
I suspect that he had someone on the side. Todd’s method of informing Sarah about the divorce is, IMHO, the mark of a true coward.
That’s a false assumption.
Donald Trump wasn’t your average 59 year old man. He possessed, and still possesses, the energy and vitality of a much younger man. Most men at that age are already starting to fall apart.
It’s also untrue that women don’t age well. I’m honestly not trying to brag, but I will turn 49 next month and most people think that I’m much younger. I was even almost carded several months ago. It probably helps that I weigh less than a hundred pounds and wear size zero pants.
IMO, the double standard that men get better with age and women lose their worth is terribly unfair and inaccurate.
I don’t recall anyone saying that women lose their ‘worth’; but many of us do lose our beauty - and a lot of that is due to developing sour temperaments.
(I think you’d have to ask a man about all of that ‘unfair’ and ‘inaccurate’ stuff...)
Thank you, Jane.
Look above at the post that reads “Men age like wine, women age like milk.” That will show you what a lot of freeper guys think of women. Some of us have complained for years about the disgusting comments about girls and women to no avail. Some are positively pornographic.
Hope is all well with you, Friend!
obviously she knew they had problems
They were in marital counseling working on it.
that is the key here.
Straw man. I did not say "men get better with age". My position is that men lose their ability to attract the opposite sex at a slower rate than women.
In the post you replied to, I specified "A 55 year old man, in good physical condition like Todd".
A woman in her 40's, who has kept herself in good physical condition, will still get male attention. Just not as much as she did in her 20's.
At the OkCupid dating site, a guy wrote an article on how men SHOULD take a look at older women. But the actual statistics show that men tend to prefer younger women.
Damn, more shaming language. I see a pattern here. I guess it works on a lot of men. You could really have a fragile ego guy wrapped around your finger.
coward. What is it with women on this thread and shaming language? No he was smart. He protected himself. You dont know what wouldve went down if he had broken up with her face-to-face. Lotta false accusations going on out there. At the very least he could be slapped with a restraining order for raising his voice an octave as she throws dishes, or worse he could be in jail for raising his hand in self-defense as she smacks his ass around.
Have to say I wasn’t all that surprised by the news of their divorce. Sarah brought a lot of notoriety to the family. Probably caused their children to have more challenges at critical times in their lives. Todd had head trauma.
Lot-o-schiff going on...
My wife is no longer the 20-something with perky breasts that I first met close to four decades ago. But she is chronically cheerful, and makes an effort to keep me happy, and that's what I care about at my age.
Some of the male desire for younger women comes from being biologically hard wired to be most interested in women who are still in their fertile years. And some comes from the feeling that younger women tend to not be as bitter, angry, and jaded as the older ones.

Hi, Jamestown1630-!
Lotteries are a form of gambling and there are those in churches that fell though legal they are immoral and therefore unacceptable for tithing.
I would love to give to Pro-life homes, as well as fund law cases for those that are being targeted by the leftists.
Last thing I would want to do is start a foundation. For some reason those eventually end up being used by leftists and or destroyed from within because of greed.
You nailed it. It wasnt code for anything other than life has a way of giving us the unpredictable.
