A Washington, D.C., man pleaded guilty today to advertising child pornography.
Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney Jessie K. Liu of the District of Columbia and Assistant Director in Charge Timothy R. Slater of the FBI’s Washington Field Office made the announcement.
Simon Walker, 33, was charged in July 2018 with one count of advertising child pornography and one count of distributing child pornography.
According to admissions made in connection with his plea agreement, Walker was the creator and administrator of online chat groups devoted to the trading of child pornography. In addition to uploading images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, Walker encouraged other members of the groups to distribute child pornography, warning them that they would be removed from the groups if they did not contribute to the online community of offenders. Forensic examination of his electronic devices, pursuant to a federal search warrant executed at his residence in May 2018, uncovered hundreds of videos and images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Walker was arrested by the FBI on July 12, 2018, was ordered detained by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and has remained in custody since that time.
U.S. District Court Judge Carl J. Nichols scheduled sentencing for Jan. 23, 2020.
The FBI Washington Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, composed of FBI agents and local, state and federal partners, investigated the case. Trial Attorney Jessica Urban of the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jodi Lazarus of the District of Columbia are prosecuting the case.
This investigation was a part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and CEOS, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. Kill him very slowly.
Sicko, glad he’s gone.
But I do wonder... why do we never seem to see stories about the producers getting caught, kids getting rescued, Epstein types getting arrested.
We live in the most heavily surveilled nation on earth. It isn’t all happening in foreign countries.
Was that wrong? Should I have not done that?
I wonder if he even knew what he was doing was wrong. So many people have no moral compass.
Someone i met over the past few years was molested from 5 to 17.
It sickens me.
You want to take the pain away but you cannot.
So you just listen.
She cries and says she had no breasts yet, why was he doing all those things to her chest when she had no breasts yet??
SMH
And then the stories get worse.
I felt guilty for wanting to tell her “don’t tell me anymore please!! I cannot process!! I’m awake at nights!!”
But it helped/helps her to talk.
and you NEVER get used to hearing it but but if she can live with it I can listen.
Was this the only guy they nailed?
There must’ve have been hundreds involved.
Millstones needed.
Back in the day, we collected a married couple on a Fugitive from Justice warrant. Turns out they were running a prostitution ring in a coastal town. Authorities became aware of them after they printed and distributed business cards for the enterprise. They both turned tricks and they both looked to have been set on fire and extinguished with a pitchfork.
We are here:If there are no absolutes by which to judge society, then society is absolute. Francis Schaeffer, How Shall We Then Live? (Old Tappan NJ: Fleming H Revell Company, 1976), p. 224.
If we are not vigilant they will normalise sex with young children.
It’s like the next thing for them to push....
They’re getting closer and closer to that now. And when they do they will take the next step of trying to make it legal as well. Correction, what they will do is decriminalize it first.
That is probably when I’m going to look in the mirror and say to myself, you’ve been around long enough, it’s time to do what is right and damn the consequences.
Unreal. I’d expect a lot of this happens outside the USA. e can’t exactly send a swat team to Russia or eastern Europe.
But it sure seems to me like we should catch the actual producer/molester more often.
I seem to never read about it.
it happens here at horrific levels
Her support group is packed
lots of stepfathers and boyfriends are culprits.
Peel him, harvest his organs, incinerate the leavings.
drawn and quartered comes to my mind...
I was in love with a woman years ago who was sexually molested by her older sisters boyfriend when she was 12. Her parents were two violently abusive alcoholics. The anger and rage this beautiful woman had was sometimes molten. I met this woman some thirty years ago when I was in my early 30s and so was she. The abuse began when she was 12 years old at a time when no one ever talked about such things. It just wasn’t part of our culture then.
No one believed her at the time. No one could or even knew to protect her. She couldn’t stop it. I got to know her when both of us were attending AA. Some how she came to trust me and eventually we fell in love. Make a long story short her sister didn’t approve of it all and we drifted apart. Still think about her though. She had black hair and blue eyes. She was beautiful.
Wow.
What a terrible household to grow up in.
Heartbreaking.
It’s still pretty much not talked about though it’s better. I think.
It breaks the heart.
And when one falls for such a woman one wants to retroactively protect her but one can’t.
One can only listen and comfort.
She sounds like she was stunning.
And that you guys shared something pretty special.
I pray she fared well in life.
I am glad you both went to AA and were able to help each other at least for some while.
Some people that come into our lives are not soon forgotten when they exit.
That means they were special.
Only a matter of time before saying “I’m trans” makes this a “oh, we’re sorry, we don’t mean to be transphobuc” moment for prosecutors.
Don’t believe me?

Drag queen, read as pedo, strips in front of children.
I knew someone years ago who was eight when a group of teenagers lured her into a house and gang raped her for hours. As far as I know she never told anyone else. It melted my mind when she talked to me about it. She never discussed it with me after that one time.
I run into her every few years. To my knowledge she never married. No kids. Still lives with her parents who are in their eighties. I don’t think she ever sought counseling. I believe her future was largely destroyed after that day.
From the time I was able to process what she told me I realized it would be possible for me to kill someone without mercy. I hope that I am never put in that circumstance.
You, dp0622, have helped her by listening, even if it has exacted a painful toll on you.
Well done.
When I was growing up in Hampton Virginia (about 1957), my sister and I would go to the Kids Matinee on Saturdays. One time some perv had been touching my sister during the film. When our dad got there and found out, he started pounding the guy. The theater staff pulled him off and called the cops. When the cops got there and heard the details they released my dad and joined in pounding the perv. They eventually hauled perv off to jail.
