I was supposed to be arrested 2 weeks ago

Posted on 08/29/2019 1:34:17 PM PDT by Kevin in California

This, according to the call I got from the SSA (since when did they start calling people? LMAO) telling me a legal lawsuit had been filed against me by the Federal Reserve Bank and if I didn’t call back the Federal Marshals by the close of the day, they were going to come and arrest me……LMAO!

There’s no end to the lengths these scammers will go to fraud/scam people. This call was an attempt to get my SS#. Nice try asshole! It’d be nice to meet one of these scammers in a back alley and fold their teeth back.

Anyone receive calls similar to this? This call came from a 985 area code which is Louisiana.

Just as likely it would have been a number that put a $200 charge on your phone bill. My policy is to not call back to any number that I can’t verify before doing so.

Instead of saying, “Hello”, I answer, “Can I help you?”. It seems Robo isn’t expecting that, gets discombobulated, and the call ends.

And we get calls with robo lady saying she’s calling about a hearing on a recorded line, and asks, “Can you hear me?” As you NEVER say the word “Yes” to a caller, sometimes say, “I can hear you” or “No” and the call ends.

These people are despicable.

We are all getting these too. The one I am worried about is Dad. He has advanced dementia and can’t remember from one day to the next that these are BS. I can only hope that he forgets his SS number when they call. We have changed his number twice but we can’t take it away. We need him to be able to call us.

The phone numbers you see displayed by the scammers are false ones usually belonging to innocent and unrelated third parties.

Plus, the FBI doesn’t care at all about things that are problems for regular people. They are ass-covering bureaucrats mixed in with genuine traitors, and will be no help to a nonimportant citizen.

My wife has one of those fancy phones and gets them sometimes. I have a basic flip phone and get maybe one every two or three months.

I go a step further. I describe their intimate relationships with farm animals - in Hindi or Urdu.

Must be going on everywhere. Our Sheriff’s office just put this out on facebook.

“There are numerous scams going around. The “IRS” scam and the “you have a warrant” scam seem to be the big ones for right now. Even though we have put out numerous warnings, we still have people getting taken advantage of.

We have said this several times already but we never call and ask for money. We will not call you to tell you that you have a warrant; we will visit you in person.

And it goes on. :)

I get legit calls as well as scammers. One scammer used a fake caller ID of one of my clients, a major refinery in the Midwest.
Sometimes when I am getting the scammer call and it’s not from the US I waste a bit of time then say away from the phone
You say NSA has a good trace?
Is the drone near the target?
Good. One Hellfire.

I've had SO much fun with these people the last two times.

The next to last time, I act humble and scared as they try to beat me down telling me I owe the IRS money and the cops are coming and blah blah blah. I figure what the hell, I'll just string this a-hole along. I was headed out the door to take my dog to the dog park, so I told him I was going to best buy to purchase those Apple I-tunes gift cards the IRS prefers to be paid in nowadays (gee, that's not suspicious or anything nor was the obviously Indian accent). I arrive at the dog park and make excuse after excuse about how I lost the way to the nearest Best Buy and traffic is so heavy and blah blah blah. Meanwhile the dogs are running around the park having a blast and making all sorts of noise.

FINALLY after an HOUR of me stringing this a-hole along it dawned on him what I was doing. He had some unkind words. I just laughed and laughed at how pissed he was I'd wasted his time.

The second time was even better. Again, I play the part of some doddering scared fool who agrees to pay, then makes one excuse after another stalling and stalling and stalling. Again the call is obviously from some call center in India. Finally he tells me the cops are going to come just trying to pile on the pressure as they do. I said "OK. Well tell them when they get here I'll be waiting.

(pause)

Naked.

(Pause)

With all my guns."

Stunned silence followed. So then the scammer blurts out "whu......so........that's it???" I just laughed and laughed and told him he'd gotten PLAYED just like a lil' beyotch. HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much fun.

Did Boudreaux have an Indian accent?

I’ve been getting calls informing me of repeated attempts to reach Rudy Louie. One more attempt will be made to FAX important documents...
Ok. Heh.

We ditched the landline and cable TV a year ago. If my cell phone rings and it isn’t my wife, doctor, or lawyer, I let it roll over to voice mail then delete it outright.

a legal lawsuit had been filed against me

Of course a legal lawsuit was filed. An illegal lawsuit would be illegal, immoral, outrageous!

Legal is the way to go.

My call was from Washington, D.C. number, though pretty sure they scam numbers too.

We don’t have cell service here in the brush so we have to have a landline or no phone at all.

When I am bored scammers can be entertainment.

If it’s all you got then the landline is fine. My wife used to get mad at me when the scammers and telemarketers and sometimes collectors would call on the landline. If I was bored and feeling feisty and there was nothing on TV, I’d see how long I could keep them on the line using all the rusty interrogation skills I picked up over the years.

Wifey fell for a text message from “Marge” asking for “Susie” and to please text back as it was important.

After the third increasingly worried text, Wifey texted “Marge” that she had the wrong number. That was six months ago. Now that they have a live number, it has probably been sold to every scammer on Planet Earth as she has been averaging 6-10 bogus calls a day, from all over the country (accord to the bogus area codes).

Last month, I got one from “Roger”, asking “Tim” how he was doing after the accident. Riiight.
