Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A trio of cheesemakers teamed up in Quebec to make a world record-breaking poutine that weighed nearly 6,700 pounds.
The cheesemakers, Fromage Warwick, Fromagerie Victoria and Fromagerie du Presbytere, combined fries, gravy and cheese curds in Warwick to create a total 6,688 pounds of poutine.
Sebastien Lemay, the co-owner of Fromage Warwick, said it took about 26 to 28 hours to prepare all of the cheese curds for the poutine, while the fries were cooked up just prior to the event with the use of 40 deep-frying machines.
The previous poutine world record was 4,409 pounds, cooked up in Trois-Rivieres in 2015.

Loco Moco. Hawaii. White rice or mashed potatoes with a hamburger patty on top and then a fried egg and finally brown gravy. Delicious! I make it at home once in awhile using mashed potatoes or if we have leftover white rice. Loco Moco sounds better to me than poutine.

Or, as Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty calls it, “boo-dan.” He praises his wife’s version.

Boudin (also spelled boudain)and Poutine are as different as, well, Boudain and Poutine...................But he was referring to her recipe with potatoes and cheese (poutine) which they showed on the episode; and not referring to sausage (boudin). Just sayin', that's how he pronounced it. Part of the pleasure of being southern is not having to be extremely precise with pronunciation.
