The sheriff of El Paso County said in a Facebook post that the suspect in a Saturday mass shooting that killed at least 20 people “came here to kill Hispanics.”

“This Anglo man came here to kill Hispanics. I’m outraged and you should be too. This entire nation should be outraged,” Sheriff Richard Wiles, who is also the former chief of the El Paso Police Department, wrote on his Facebook page.

In this day and age, with all the serious issues we face, we are still confronted with people who will kill another for the sole reason of the color of their skin,” he added.

Wiles offered words of praise for both the El Paso Police Department’s response to the shooting and the diversity of the city itself, which sits directly across the U.S.-Mexico border from Ciudad Juárez and is about 80 percent Hispanic.

“I fear things will not get better. Not pointing out anyone in particular, but I’m sick of people jumping in front of the cameras offering prayers and condolences as things just keep getting worse,” he added.

The president spoke for about 3 minutes beneath the port wing of Air Force 1. It was very difficult to hear, with the APUs from both the plane and the helicopter whining in the background. He said he will making another statement tomorrow at 1000, presumably from the White House.
He wore a dark suit and striped red-and-white tie, and stood beside First Lady Melania Trump.
Your pooler believes this was carried live on the cable nets, and a WH transcript may already be out (they have wifi; the pool does not). Nevertheless, here are some quotes and paraphrases. The president began with a statement and then took only one question, about gun laws:
“Thank you very much. I wanted to extend our condolences to the people of El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. They’re incredible people. They’ve been through a lot.”
“I also want to thank to the law enforcement in both places for the job they’ve done. It’s incredible. I also want to congratulate them.”
“We love the people. Hate has no place in our country.”
He said he had spoken to Attorney General Barr, to FBI Director Wray, to governors of both states, and there’s “a lot of work going on right now.”
He said he has spoken to members of Congress about what they might be able to do.
“A lot of things are being done right now.”

Q: WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT GUN LAWS?

The president and First Lady Melania Trump emerged from AF1, walked down the boarding stairs and to an awaiting Marine Corps helicopter about 180 feet away. They climbed aboard, and Marine 1 was airborne at 1739, en route the White House.
The 37-minute flight from New Jersey back to Andrews was uneventful, with no visits from senior White House officials, and the plane touched down at 1724.

Marine One was wheels down on the South Lawn of the White House at 5:49 PM.

POTUS & FLOTUS stepped off two minutes later and held hands as they walked into the residence.

POTUS waved a couple of times and looked toward the press pool, but did not answer shouted questions about whether the El Paso shooting was an example of terrorism and/or domestic terrorism. He was also asked whether white nationalism was to blame and if he golfed today at his New Jersey club.

The White House called a travel/photo lid at 5:57 PM.

What questions were all of these jackals in the press asking 0blamer, when he invited BLM to the WH, then shootings organized by BLM occurred, shortly thereafter?

What questions did they ask 0blamer about the black on black murders happening in his ‘home’ city, night after night, year after year?
