Seriously a rifle carrying Frenchman?
Someone has to hand them to the Germans.
Not a big fan of the French. My grandfather was a doctor in a small town in France, as had been his father and his father. Between him and his wife (a Norse), they literally delivered all the babies in the town.
Took them about 20 minutes to get turned over to the Nazis by said locals.

That is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. Free untethered high speed and controllable flight in a reasonably small package. Unfortunately he will likely be killed the first time anything goes wrong. That will be a sad day.

You might also like the US Navy Victories series. Some nice artwork and good history.

If everybody had a 12-guage, and a surfboard too...
Nick Rivers had some great hits.
I remember “Your Skeetin’ Heart” duet with Tammy Wynette.

Life after microprocessor computer chips is far beyond anything the Science Fiction writers of decades ago could even possible imagine. All of this technology is brought to you by the humble computer chip. In this case you have what would be a completely unstable, un-driveable machine. The only thing allowing this thing to fly is the millions of lines of computer code operating in minute fractions of a second to continually adjust, adjust, adjust.
The fundamental building block of our entire lives these days is the humble microship. Amazing. Who would have believed this would be possible back 50 years ago?
