Trump's signature at top of D-Day proclamation raises eyebrows

Several world leaders commemorated the 75th anniversary of D-Day Thursday by signing a symbolic proclamation, but President Trump’s signature looked slightly different than those of other officials.

While every other political leader, including French President Emanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, signed their names at the bottom of the document, Trump chose to ink his signature in the top corner.

The move raised some eyebrows on social media.

Some defended the president's signature placement, with one Twitter user responding to Abel, saying, "Not sure that’s particularly worthy of criticism. There is no space left at the bottom."

That's the way to do it when there's no more space on the bottom. Pathetic observation really.... — Heathcliffe (@grayheath56) June 7, 2019

A handwriting expert appearing on CNN said that "the size of the signature correlates with narcissism, with ego, with a grandiose sense of importance."

It’s unclear why Trump signed his name at the top, or in what order he signed the proclamation, which was presented Thursday during D-Day commemorations in Portsmouth, England.

The document signifies world leaders’ “shared responsibility to ensure that the unimaginable horror of these years is never repeated.”

Perhaps he was the last to sign.

Well, this is the first substantive reason I’ve seen for actually throwing Trump into jail.

Was his hair disheveled from taking off his golf hat when he signed?

Aren’t you loving it? Let Trump be Trump. He’s amazing. I think he’s at a different level from everyone else, 100% of the time.

The most focused person I’ve ever seen in my life. You’d think with all the times he’s been on TV, in the media, quoted....etc. There’d be a gaff...but no. Not even the Covfeefe was a gaff.

He’s meticulously dressed always.... I mean always.

Then you have Biden and the rest of the field of candidates. Biden looks like he’s dressed to eat dinner at the appointed hour in a Florida nursing home...

IT is so laughable to think, to actually thin, that people are going to vote for him.

Trump says, “Biden is attracting more flies than people at his rallies.”

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAA!!!!!

...and if Merkel’s on the bottom, DJT definitely belongs on top.

But you'll assume the worst possible reason, won't you, you little brain-dead pantywaist journalist.

Well, when you are a self-made billionaire, married to a super-model AND the President of the United States, I do believe one is entitled to a little grandiosity.

He's certainly earned it.

I thought President Trump’s commemoration to be outstanding and sincerely heartfelt.

“I thought President Trump’s commemoration to be outstanding and sincerely heartfelt.”

Anybody disagreeing with that sentiment isn’t of sound mind.

Wha?????

O the huge manatee!

That does it! I am jumping off the Trump train. How dare he sign at the top? And he probably skewed the capital T — on purpose!

The way he feeds/trolls the media is astounding.

Maybe he was the one of the last to sign and there wasn’t any room left on the bottom. Hello?
