After two years of gas-lighting us with a line that ‘no Obama’s administration did NOT spy on Trump’s team’, it’s now clear they did exactly that.

And some of the nations few remaining REAL journalists have been on that story like a dog on a bone. One of those journalists was Sharyl Attkisson, who has herself complained about being spied on by the Obama administration, was among the earlier voices sounding the alarm.

Some examples she raises from a piece she wrote in 2017. You’ll recall DNI Clapper falsely assured Congress in 2013 that the NSA was not collecting “any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans.”

Intel agencies secretly monitored conversations of members of Congress while the Obama administration negotiated the Iran nuclear deal. In 2014, the CIA got caught spying on Senate Intelligence Committee staffers, though CIA Director John Brennan had explicitly denied that. There were also wiretaps on then-Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio)

This is the Definition of FISA that comes to my mind when ever the topic comes up.

The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC, also called the FISA Court) is a U.S. federal court established and authorized under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (FISA) to oversee requests for surveillance warrants against foreign spies inside the United States by federal law ..

So when anyone asks, "Do you think the law was broken when they investigated Trump"

Yes and No.

Certainly, the FISA warrant was was obtained properly, The investigation was to find Russian connections and influence in our ellections as stated.

However, it is telling that they have concluded the investigation with a statement that affirms Russian meddling while claiming to have found no connection to Trump. The telling part? Despite finding Russian attempts to affect the outcome of our election, they have not identified ANYONE or ORGANIZATION connected to the Russians efforts.

Mueller has not included/excluded anyone other than Trump, His Campaign and Administration. This, IMO, is a clear violation of the FISA because it was not an investigation into foreign Agents, Spies, or Governments. It was an end run of the FISA law used to Investigate not only a US Citizen but The President Of The United States....

This was a huge crime that originated with The Obama Administrations DOJ....The "One" Most educated and Qualified President,ever, would have known immediately how illegal this investigation was.

The FISA warrants seem to have been based on the Steel/HRC paid dossier. It also seems that some of the foreign contacts were set up by CIA operatives ( Papadopoulos, Flynn) to create an avenue to launch the investigative narrative. I do not have enough information to accept that a fraud was not perpetrated on (or maybe, in cooperation with) the FISA court. DECLASSIFICATION would shed light on these questions.
